Just finished watching. Great team performance. Raptors really defend Steph better than anybody in the league and with all that attention on him the others stepped up big time. Steph might be the only superstar who doesn't get frustrated when defended like that and still makes the right play virtually every time.

Poole, Dray, Wiggins and Looney all great. Otto stepping up a lot more than Bjelica at the moment (the nights when neither of them are hitting is when it gets rough).
Steph was welcoming that shyt and burning the raps with the pass in the process lmaooo

FVV literally fouls Steph on every possession and the refs look the other way

Nurse saying they defended Steph well while they got torched by Wiggins, Poole etc says it all.

Congrats, you limited the GOAT to 12 points but he's +19 on the night. 8 assist and god know how many hockey assists

Nurse being happy he defended Steph good yet Steph was a +19… it’s like come in cracka you failed lmao
To be fair to Nurse, it's the lesser of two evils.

If you let Steph do his thing, not only are you guaranteed death, but the energy and confidence he supplies to the rest of the team, ends up with them stomping on the opposition's dead body until it becomes a bloodied mess. But at least cutting off the oxygen to Steph's possessions gives the opposition a fighting chance. If every team did that every game, the Warriors would lose considerably more games than if they allowed Steph to run wild.

It's not exactly something you can be pleased about though if you end up losing.

The team is 15-2 when has he hurt the team? What are specific examples that made him such a liability that he should be traded away for nothing in return while also giving away a draft pick?

Getting rid of guys like Bazemore is addition by subtraction, Wiggins is not in that category.
My bad. He’s never hurt the team with lazy, and passive play. There’s a reason why everyone has to keep telling dude to be aggressive every other day of the week. He can give you 30 any given night, or give you 12

Games like that are good preparation for the playoffs though. The more they see those janky ass defenses, the more they'll be ready to handle them in the postseason.

This. And equally, these games get everyone aligned, focused, working to make the right play instead of the right now play.

It's still way too early to make any meaningful analysis but I do like what I'm seeing and the winning culture that's being shared/taught to everyone.

Come on guy this just proves if you put half way competent players around Steph this is the positive result you get.. Nurse was never running those janky ass defenses when Klay and KD was in the court.. last season with the likes of whataburger, woatmore and poopbre aka incompetence on the highest of levels we got blown the fukk out…. Our current roster is nothing but high iq players and bam result is different against Nurse’s predictable defense.. That just shows the greatness of Steph…

Nurse so worried about limiting Steph yet can’t even account for the fact Steph is counter punching his dumb ass without having to score at all… Look at Steph reaction last night after splitting that box and one he was gesturing to nurse keep that pressure coming lmaoo

when Klay come back nurse ain’t running those elementary ass defenses.. It’s a reason why other NBA coaches don’t do that shyt against Steph, we forgetting what Steph did being double and triple teamed all season with zero spacing? Trust me what I tell you Nurse is not reinventing the wheel and frankly he’s looking quiet dumb..

He still living off that 2019 defense which he was only able to run because KD and Klay went down and Curry still Avg 35ppg against that box and one.

As I said - lesser of two evils.

It doesn't guarantee a win, but it gives you a better shot at beating this team.

If the opposition allows Steph to play freely, there's no counter to that. No player or team can go shot-for-shot with Steph; it's also demoralizing for the opposition, and puts them in a state of panic, as we saw what happened to the Cavs. But they can go shot-for-shot with Steph's support cast, which is why even though he'll typically make the right play, that doesn't mean his teammates will make those shots.

It's what the Cavs did all throughout those Finals' series, forcing his teammates to beat them. They forced the likes of Barnes to beat them in '16 and looked what happened. I can guarantee you teams would rather take their chances with Wiggins and Poole trying to beat them, than Steph.

The difference between you and @Gil Scott-Heroin is that Gil wants to trade him for a upgrade. You want to trade him because you think he’s some type of trash player overall.

Wiggins doesn’t foul obsessively, he doesn’t turn the ball over or shoot at unacceptably low percentages. Me and you clearly have different definitions of what it means to hurt a team.

“He’s better that bazemore and oubre, so his contract is justified”

and Wiggins does have more turnovers than assists this season

scoring 13 pts when he could’ve had 20+ if he was aggressive hurts the team. Basically a lack of effort hurts teams in general. And literally every person has questioned his motor. That’s why Steph, Poole, and Dray got all those questions like “what are u seeing from Andrew”, meaning “the nikka is usually very lackadaisical on the court. Why do you think he’s not lackadaisical as hell on the court these last few games?”

What I will say is, if the Warriors continue to win at this rate, I can't see them trading Wiggins, even if he continues to be inconsistent. They'll have the perception they don't want to disturb chemistry and the makeup of a winning-team. With that, I hope I'm horribly, horribly wrong, and Wiggins ends up delivering in the playoffs, and helps this squad win a title.

Without question, they won't even consider changing anything until Klay is back and up to speed.

After that tho...

:yeshrug:

That said, he's looked good for the last 5 or 6 games....granted I missed a few of those...
