Biggest grifting industry of all-time.

No useful products whatsoever.

You're literally buying a name and their markup.

Chevron's Market Cap is $285 Billion
Toyota's Market Cap is $278 Billion
Coca Cola's Market Cap is $272 Billion

Louis Vuitton's Market Cap is $385 Billion.

Do you know how stupid that is?

If anything, this provides a real expensive psychological study.
Idk maybe it’s some shenanigans going on, maybe some money laundering

Nikkas live in fairytales, manufacturing, packing, shipping, marketing and who knows what else costs a lot of money and thats before you spend your months wages.

Most things that are manufactured, do it a low cost hence how they make profit. Jordan 1s cost $16 bucks to make but they going for $185 each at the store. Most of those luxury brands work off the prestige alone. Making the 99% spend their money to look like the 1%. I believe it’s called hegemony.

that's most luxury items, always assumed most people knew :yeshrug:
i've been hearing that all goods are priced well above their actual cost since I was a child

from nikes on up

there are dozens of small luxury good makers who post the cost of leather goods and fine fabrics online - even the priciest luxury bags have less than $60.00 in actual leather, and maybe $100 in labor
