My Pops Forever RIP
I can speak for myself, I’ve deleted people I’ve known for years off social media because their support for Donald Trump, some of us just don’t fukk with that fool on the other hand a lot of Dominicans dont really care and they LOVE Trump because of whatever benefits they think they’re going to get. According to Boras them Yankee MAGA loving Cac players rubbed Soto the wrong way. Soto himself seems to be a weird ass and probably took this shyt to heart along with that stuff that happened with his family and the security guard.
That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying Dominicans, especially straight from the island are too busy wrapped up in their elections to care about this one. The quote you posted is ducktales.

Them cac Yankees MAGA support rubbed Soto the wrong way. A lot of boot licking Dominicans voted Trump but some of them Hate Trump and Soto happens to be one of them, Breh wanted nothing to do with Judge and them wearing them red hats.

How is it possible to be gullible enough to see that and think it's real ? Boras confirming Trump gear was at the center of the richest contract in sports history would've dominated every section of sports talk over the past week.

Log off for a bit, internet has your brain fried :pachaha:

Yankees aren't (and shouldn't) be tryna balloon this shyt all in 1 year.

If they didn't dump Soto on us, they're not gonna dump Tatis on us (and Tatis is another one who's gonna need to play RF).

Arraez I'd gladly take though.

1B, 3B, LF, and if one of them is just a stopgap for next winter, that's cool too. Next winter will have a bunch of free agents that can fit what we do and we're gonna have FOMO because we got desperate now. Desperate teams don't win titles. Measured teams do.

My assumption now is Bellinger is locked in at 1B. My only fear is that the Yankees bring back Verdugo with options still available,
I’m fine with Bellinger as a stopgap personally and I like the idea of Judge eventually moving to first. Doesn’t Tatis play left field though?

That Trump story is hilarious, to say the least. Apparently, social media remains a place where anyone can say anything, and someone gullible enough will help it go viral.

I'll prefer to move on from Soto conversations since dude is just trolling now. Dude wanted the biggest bag, no matter what he or Boras say, and he signed up for it. Everything else will be as irrelevant as his career impact going forward. Empty numbers in Citi Field. They should play "Ya Played Yaself" by Jeru when he steps up to the plate in YS3 in 2025, and the Mets are losing games 13-6 every night.

Here's where we are.

SP? Signed (Fried)
Closer? Acquired (Williams)
Middle relief? Signed (Johnny Lasagne)
LF? Bellinger via trade for Stroman
1B? Walker at 3 years
2B or 3B? Jazz gets one of these, no idea who fills the other position

Honestly, after dealing so much talent for a 1 year rental (Soto), who we didn't extend nor sign, I completely understand Cashman's reluctance to do it again with Tucker. Again, Tucker would be a 1 year rental..... If Tucker agreed to discuss an extension and they came to terms, Luis Gil heads to Houston. And apparently, Tucker and his camp think his next deal will be upwards of $500M..... I'd pass on that.

I really don't get how folks think giving up the best rookie SP (Gil) in the AL, after just trading a kid (Michael King) who finished 6th in Cy Young voting and another (Drew Thorpe) who brought back Dylan Cease, for a 1 year rental, is a no-brainer.

Thankfully, Cashman is showing some restraint. We could use Gil's value for something longer term, be it in the Bronx (through 2029) or for another productive player who's not a 1 year rental.

If Rodon was from Puerto Plata he'd be Ubaldo Jimenez.

If we're gonna assume every prospect we'll bring up fizzles out, you've painted yourself into an unsustainable corner. IF everyone else senses that, they won't trade with you. If you don't produce cost controlled talent, you'll need to have the kind of payroll that the Yankees will never settle for. This isn't some speculative name. This is a ROY who won that award in spite of the Yankees. This was a guy who only got to start because Cole was hurt half the year. He wasn't even someone we hyped up. He would come up and put in work (and then he wasn't it was because he needed surgery). Would Tucker have been good to have? Sure, but dealing King and Gil in back to back years only to get kicked in the nuts is crazy.
That’s a lot of ifs……
