Once they signed Fried, it made less sense for Chisholm to stay at 3B since he's a ground ball pitcher, but now it kinda forces the Yankees to get a 3B instead of 2B.

Nestor being ehhhhh didn’t help his case. But Cashman better keep his foot on the gas and not exit 2024 without locking in a couple of other players. Straight up.
And fůck Soto, these rumors that keep “leaking” and his whole situation. He didn’t want to come back so the slick talk we keep hearing from so called insiders is pointless. The Mets will find a way to stay mediocre but at least they have their “guy”. Good luck dealing with the Braves and Phillies.

a lot of what was said might not be true but it sounds too plausible to dismiss. Yankee security thinks they're protecting the border
So next steps:
1. Bring back Tim Hill and that'll finish the pitching staff.
2. I think they're out on Tucker now but Cody's probably gonna be a Yankee and play 1B.
3. Teoscar's still lurking out there. I kinda hope it's him because if not, Verdugo will back in LF.
4. 3B is the only spot left where I don't know what they do. Give Jorge Polanco a prove it deal or something.

For now. We can go after him next off-season. I don't think he'll stay with the Cubs. And since the Mets are set at OF, we won't have to worry about them either.
Our biggest threat to sign him outright will be Philly
