Played some board games with my daughters yesterday. Felt like I was back in a time machine to my youth before electronics. Almost brought tears to my eyes. Hope while we're down as a nation everybody can find time to reconnect with the ones that matter most.

We are both working from home, have baby girl out of day care and grandma over to help. So far so good, though I think we are all looking to get out of the house for a bit. But yea it is nice to spend some time. She is at the age now where she is kind of chill.

Now is a good time to remind all of us parents out there that young children (10 and under) learn and absorb more through play than drill work.

We don't have to simulate the school structure at home. Let them play. Let them lead for a little while. Listen when they speak. The teachable moments will present themselves in abundance. You'll be surprised by how much both of you will be able to learn.

Critter Fixers is a vet show on Nat Geo. Really good show with the leading doctors being black. We watched the first 4 episodes the last 2 days as a family. Good stuff

If your young daughters are playing with these LOL dolls, get rid of them. There's youtube videos of what happens to these dolls when they are submerged in cold water. Devil horn tattoos show, fishnet lingerie, dominatrix style outfits, devil tails. All of those thing appear, and more when they are dropped into ice cold water.
