We might not even need Kawhi next year

I 100% fully expect to win an NBA title next season

I expect big leaps from ALL the young guys, especially now that Magic confirmed he plans to lead the league in pace next season. shyts about to be a beautiful season my brehs

What do y'all think about this nikka Bron's long term prospects though?

The major reason I was in favor of a trade, and kinda still am, is because we dont know how much longer Bron will be elite. We can be assured he will this upcoming season, but anything after that isn't a sure thing. This season will probably be Bron's best in a Laker uniform. Without Kawhi we're pretty much wasting it :manny:

Hopefully bron has at least 2 more elite seasons in him

We're not beating GSW trading our core to get Kawhi. That's just reality. We can't force the issue and expect to shortcut our way to a championship. We have to be in for the long haul adding assets and building a superteam that can topple those guys. Lebron should still be good for the next 2-3 seasons considering that what really hampered Kobe after 34 was his achilles not his will to dominate. We see what happens this season, add Kawhi next season hopefully and then we have a real shot at the championship imo.

I do think Lebron will change his game around Ingram, Kawhi and Kuz. He knows these dudes can go for 30/40 on any given night. He might take a step back during the regular season, let them do their thing and ramp it up when playoffs come around. He at a age where he needs to preserve himself. We saw what happened to DA GAWD willing us towards the playoffs:to:

Yep. Kobe was still a beast and first team All-NBA player in year 17 and his body had already gone through the ringer before his Achilles went out. LeBron's never had any serious or lingering injuries like Kobe kept racking up.

This team is much better than the aging/injured roster around Kobe in 2012-13. Dwight was fukked up and pouting, Nash wasn't the same, Pau was banged up and in and out of Pringles' doghouse. Earl Clark was their best young player. :picard:

LeBron's got a bunch of horses that can give him a breather this season. His minutes should be in the 32-34 range during the regular season. No reason Ingram, Kuzma, Ball, Hart, KCP, Rondo, Lance, Wagner and McGee can't put points on the board without LeBron in this system.

Word....shyt i think 28-32 mpg would be a good spot if our role players really start balling out. We gotta give Bron that Tim Duncan approach :manny:

My spurs fam lebron loving friend said the same thing to me yesterday and I just looked at him like :stopitslime:. Realistically we arent beating GS with the team we have now but we're 100% making the playoffs. Not even debatable
Yeah, they won 35 games last season without LeBron and a lot of injuries. 49 wins was third place in the west, so they have a realistic shot at third, in my opinion.
