fathertime is unexpected and undefeated. It's going to happen to him eventually.

If he's willing to be a #2 option as time goes on, it could work. But I just dont think its a good idea to casually assume Bron will be elite all 4 years.
Obviously we are trying to address that, breh... Kawhi or KD next summer and AD as a trade target (why we are keeping our assets and not desperate to dump Deng)

not the core...just 1 or 2 of the young guys. Like Kuzma + Hart + Deng or something. And i agree we can't shortcut our way to titles but at the same time, got to take advantage of Bron at his best while we got it. Bron suffering an injury isn't impossible neither even though he's be incredibly durable in his career.

We should probably feel things out and when we start getting closer to the trade deadline we'll probably have an idea what direction to take. Im sure Kawhi will be available at the deadline
If Lebron gets hurt then we aren’t contending anyway and back to tanking/rebuilding

What do y'all think about this nikka Bron's long term prospects though?

The major reason I was in favor of a trade, and kinda still am, is because we dont know how much longer Bron will be elite. We can be assured he will this upcoming season, but anything after that isn't a sure thing. This season will probably be Bron's best in a Laker uniform. Without Kawhi we're pretty much wasting it :manny:

Hopefully bron has at least 2 more elite seasons in him

We cant throw the future for 1 chip now. This is a long game Lakers are playing and they just got the best results. KL going to a team he dont want and we get to pick up next year for free. We are losing 1 year of Bron but we kept our young guys for ammo if they arent panning out for next Free Agency. Lakeshow is back!

We might not even need Kawhi next year

I 100% fully expect to win an NBA title next season

I expect big leaps from ALL the young guys, especially now that Magic confirmed he plans to lead the league in pace next season. shyts about to be a beautiful season my brehs

As long as he can continue to go another level in the playoffs and maintain his jumper and post game he will be a top 5 player during the life of this contract, barring health...he is a damn near complete player at this point and was blessed with teir 1 size and athleticism. Vince Carter still catching bodies at 40
Yup even as his athleticism declines he can transition to the 4 where he'll still have a big speed advantage and if they put a 3 on him he can just kill them in the post.

I lowkey expect us to upset the Warriors and beat Boston for the title. In fact I demand it. :shaq:

I do think Lebron will change his game around Ingram, Kawhi and Kuz. He knows these dudes can go for 30/40 on any given night. He might take a step back during the regular season, let them do their thing and ramp it up when playoffs come around. He at a age where he needs to preserve himself. We saw what happened to DA GAWD willing us towards the playoffs:to:

The Truth
I really think people are overestimating our chancing of winning it all this season...

I have very low expectations. Lebron being here doesn’t automatically mean we dominate or beat any of these elite teams that have been playing together for years and being elite.

Plus he’s in the West... shyt won’t be so easy

Our young core is good... but none are on the brink of all-star out West.. on top of the fact that Bron ball has never elevated anyone’s game especially all-star caliber players.

Magic said it best, we’re just trying to make the playoffs and see how well we do.

We shouldn’t trade anything outside of Deng and Zubac for Kawhi this season. Even with him we probably wouldn’t make the finals because we still don’t know how his body holds up and we still won’t know how he meshes with bron ball (if Lebron refuses to play within Lukes offense).

I know Laker guys love being overly optimistic with fantasy lineups and fantasy rankings but we got to stay real here

I think the same tbh :manny:

The addition of Cousins doesn't make the Warriors as dangerous as people think

I’m laughing at everyone for even thinking he’ll be a factor..

He tore his achilles dude...

Like, are nikkas new to basketball or something? If he comes back lookin like anything but Malik Rose with a headband, y’all can ban me permanently
