IM LOWKEY WORRIED TORONTO MIGHT DO SOME SHIIT LIKE ACCEPT A TRADE OF KAWHI FOR INGRAM STRAIGHT UP ..... MAGIC MIGHT DO THAT.

THEY MIGHT EVEN TAKE KUZ+HART, WHICH WOULD STILL SUCK IF HE COULD BE HAD FOR FREE
As of now we would have to either include Deng in any deal or put the whole farm in the deal to match salaries since we don’t have enough open cap space to absorb Kawhi’s salary outright in any other combination of a trade. That stands until December 15th when our newly signed players are eligible to be traded.

What do y'all think about this nikka Bron's long term prospects though?

The major reason I was in favor of a trade, and kinda still am, is because we dont know how much longer Bron will be elite. We can be assured he will this upcoming season, but anything after that isn't a sure thing. This season will probably be Bron's best in a Laker uniform. Without Kawhi we're pretty much wasting it :manny:

Hopefully bron has at least 2 more elite seasons in him

BRON WILL NEED TO BE A SECOND OPTION TO KAWHI FOR US TO COMPETE, EITHER WAY

SO WHETHER ITS THIS YEAR OR NEXT, WE NEED LEBRON TO TAKE A BACKSEAT TO TRULY CONTEND WIT GS .. I THINK HE HAS 4 YEARS OF BEIN A SECOND OPTION IN HIM

As long as he can continue to go another level in the playoffs and maintain his jumper and post game he will be a top 5 player during the life of this contract, barring health...he is a damn near complete player at this point and was blessed with teir 1 size and athleticism. Vince Carter still catching bodies at 40

fathertime is unexpected and undefeated. It's going to happen to him eventually.

If he's willing to be a #2 option as time goes on, it could work. But I just dont think its a good idea to casually assume Bron will be elite all 4 years.

We're not beating GSW trading our core to get Kawhi. That's just reality. We can't force the issue and expect to shortcut our way to a championship. We have to be in for the long haul adding assets and building a superteam that can topple those guys. Lebron should still be good for the next 2-3 seasons considering that what really hampered Kobe after 34 was his achilles not his will to dominate. We see what happens this season, add Kawhi next season hopefully and then we have a real shot at the championship imo.

not the core...just 1 or 2 of the young guys. Like Kuzma + Hart + Deng or something. And i agree we can't shortcut our way to titles but at the same time, got to take advantage of Bron at his best while we got it. Bron suffering an injury isn't impossible neither even though he's be incredibly durable in his career.

We should probably feel things out and when we start getting closer to the trade deadline we'll probably have an idea what direction to take. Im sure Kawhi will be available at the deadline

I think Bron will still be an impact player when we get Kawhi
