I consider myself a fan of them. I'd never consider them even close to greatest. Their singing isn't all that at all(anybody who calls them great singers needs their ears examined...these dudes used to wail in the upper register and were nasally in the lower..I mean it's on pitch but whatever). Playing either. I'll give it up that they were great songwriters and that goes a long way. Ask Keith Sweat. They got where they were by being British(ie white and different in the 50s and 60s). They aren't trash but it wasn't really their skills that got them where they are...let me just put it that way.

lennon was a creative genius. macartmey can write hooks in his sleep (and I don't even like his stuff that much).

and this stuff is from the 60's ...

look how high paul and john are in this range list

wouldn't call them trash but definitely overrated.

they were pretty much the backstreet boys of the 60s. Took a black sound (rock n roll vs new jack swing) and brought it to the mainstream.
I wouldn't call them trash. ID call them fukng trash :gucci:

I know the most soulless white boy ever who calls them the greatest, so fukk them off the strength of that ALONE.

I always called them elevator music. But I get it, they were the first pop boy band and revolutionized the industry really. It’s like watching George Mikan play basketball. Nobody was shooting 17 foot fadeaway jumpers in the post in the 40’s. Like the first time I heard Dark Side of the moon and realized all the EDM, downbeat shyt I like to get high too was just an evolved version of what Pink Floyd did 50 years ago.
