OMG. The image you quoted from gizmo to claim that off-the-shelf parts work is from the modder. And it's using a disassembled xs card.

So no, there's not a solution. Those adapters are all a huge scam.

That’s an off the shelf drive, and there are plenty of accounts of people getting it to work.

The WD CH SN530 is the internal Xbox ssd which is why it worked. Good luck finding one.

It’s an “off the shelf” part.

It’s hard to find right now, but if one “off the shelf” part works it’s only a matter of time before more become available.

I guess when somebody makes a valid point you can’t refute this is the default response. Those Xbox 2TB cards are almost $150 more that a 2TB drive compatible with a PS5.

I didn't know I had a special screwdriver . I installed my m.2 to my ps5 using a screwdriver that was included in my nest thermostat i bought 6 years ago. It has a really nice comfy grip.

Once the seagate exclusivity ends there will be other drives. I don’t see storage being that much of a premium for most gamers to need an additional 2TB at the moment on any system.

I remember like it was yesterday when nikkas were praising the ease of use of this piece of shyt and complaining they needed a screwdriver to install an nvme into a PS5

Edit: the mods removed it, but it was €245 for the 1 tb and €460 for the 2tb
