Embiid doesn’t have more wins than Jokic.

Philadelphia has more wins than Denver but Jokic has been available for more of Denver’s wins.

Also, LeBron didn’t just have the better team record he had the best advanced stats in the league it’s an All-Time great season not only that he was also second in the DPoY race.
Wades advanced metrics were up there that season too, nobody was looking at LeBron advanced stats as a determination as to why he deserved the MVP. The only advanced metric that anybody gave a damn about in those days when it came to MVP voting was win shares.

Embiid's record: 45-24
Giannis's record: 45-22
Jokic's record: 46-28

Sixers record without Embiid: 6-7
Bucks record without Giannis: 6-9
Nuggets record without Jokic: 2-6

Y'all basically saying that Jokic doesn't deserve the MVP because his team sucked worse when he wasn't on the court....which makes zero logical sense.

Basically, the standard needs to be more consistent.

They aren't "bums" but none of them are great and the bench was terrible.

In the games Jokic missed Denver went 2-6 and those two wins were Houston and Indiana who are damn close to being the worst two teams in the league. If the schedule had fallen slightly different Denver easily could have been 0-8 without Jokic. Philly and Milwaukee were much better without their stars than Denver was without theirs.

Im curious..who do you think has the better roster between the Nuggets and Hawks?

Why would you post their rosters without context when two of the best players on that Nuggets roster (MPJ and Murray) played a combined 9 games all season?

But FWIW, Denver was 2-6 without Jokic this year (only wins against Houston and Indiana) while Atlanta was 3-3 without Trae (wins against Memphis, Philly, and Sacramento). Whereas Denver was 46-28 with Jokic while Atlanta was 40-36 with Trae.

Damn....

Atlanta without Trae: 50%
Atlanta with Trae: 53%

Denver without Jokic: 25%
Denver with Jokic: 62%

What does "cac media" have to do with voting Iggy or LeBron over Steph Curry? :deadrose:

They voted TP over Duncan in '07 when Duncan was by far the best player too.....Cedric Maxwell over Larry Bird when Bird was by far the best player.
Point is cac media need their voting privileges revoked

there wasn’t any hidden agenda with that question. I’m just trying to see how folks outside of Atlanta view the Hawks roster. It’s a lot of opposing views in Atlanta on who should get traded and who should stay around for the long haul. People are discussing whether Capella, John Collins, Huerter and DeAndre Hunter should be sent packing or stay around to build a core around

Then why would you post it in this thread or ask for a straight-up comparison to Denver's roster without asking about any players? :dead:

If you want my honest opinion, Trae and John Collins are your future right now and you should build around them. The only thing they're missing is veteran leadership, everyone else is holding them back right now, especially cause you've got too many cacs on the team. If I were you I'd trade Bogdon, Huerter, Hunter and Capela for Westbrook and rebuild a title roster around the Trae-Westbrook-Collins Big 3.

Basically, the standard needs to be more consistent.

There's never been a standard, unfortunately. It's all about narratives no matter who is picking. But for what its worth, the Basketball Reference MVP tracker has a mathematical model that predicts the MVP based solely on past results (with the main components of the model being points, rebounds, assists, and team wins). And based on pure math, Jokic was a heavy frontrunner with Embiid a distant 3rd.

2021-22 NBA MVP Award Tracker | Basketball-Reference.com

So folk who are claiming that Jokic's win would be a deviation from past standards are full of it. By the exact past standards of the last 40 years of MVP voting, without even looking at the subjective shyt at all, Jokic would be the frontrunner.

Uncertain grounds
id like to make the point that if someone voted for a player who they thought wasnt actually the mvp just because its "close enough" and the other guy won before then thats not right either imo. thats kinda how karl malone won one over jordan and we all knew that was basura. :hubie:

why do you expect normal people to know what the fukk this comparison is supposed to mean ?
Considering AOT is one of the biggest global media properties since 2010 I think enough people know about it.
