What I will give this flick credit for is atmosphere. It had plenty of that but where it fails to wow me is in the execution of a good premise. Also for the record great flick. Not the best because it does go on a little long and there are some issues I have with it but most of it is so on point. The scares are good the soundtrack is excellent and the tension in the film is something I haven't felt in a long time in a horror movie. Probably since the first paranormal activity. It just feels like a claustraphobic flick and I love that. And it does have a lot to say about relationships and sex and kids and adults

In the hands of a more competent writer/director, it would be a gem.
Instead it was pretty dull.
Hey...kinda like semantics, breh.I don't think it was dull but it does meander a lot

I did fall in love with the very hopeless looking sceneries it showed.
And the hallway scene
I can respect that but whatever terminology one can use for this experience, leads to it not fulfilling the expectations I had for it. It was meanderingly-dull. There.Yeah the hallway scene was bugged out.
And nah I don't think we're talking the same thing. I'm saying that he lets things linger a lot and isn't always concerned with forward momentum and there are moments when the movie has a lot of forward momentum and it kinda just comes to a halt for some reason and it was never dull to me in those moments but it did confuse me as to why you'd just cut your legs off from under yourself

The writer and/or director never gave me a reason to care for ANY of these characters nor their circumstance.
And please explain the ending...Wtf was that?
Ok. Thanks. I guess that's better than nothing. For me, the ending just said that it doesn't matter what you do..it's going to get you. The "rules" that they came up with, clearly they were coming up with on the fly as they all tried to understand it

Maybe this movie would've been better suited for Catholic school propaganda in terms of abstinence.
With the exception of the beginning, the adults in this didn't say very much at all.Does it preach abstinence though? I think that's one reading of it but I think the other reading could be don't just sleep around with everyone because you notice the adults didn't have that problem. Only the kids who were just that, kids, had the issue

Their mom was merely a fixture in one scene and I don't think was ever acknowledged.
It was quite clear of the demographic it was targeting.
That's just the writer in you, breh.Yeah the adults were peanuts adults basically but I like to think it's saying multiple things, but that's me. I like that everyone has different interpretations of what the movie is saying. It's more fun that way
