this movie was dumb as shyt, can't believe this was billed as a good horror movie. am i missing something
and i know i'm not cinematically smart, but i can't be the only one that thought the mix of modern and old props/items was clunky. i understand the carpenter look & feel he was going for, but going from a stainless steel built in ice making fridge to the avocado green 70's icebox, from the 87 station wagon to showing a shot of what has to be a 2010+ malibu and ford escape, clam shell e-reader?...just
I said earlier in the thread the whole movie had anachronistic shyt in it because it was supposed to feel like a nightmare. That's why you couldn't place what year it was, and why the police didn't really have a presence. They just showed up. Parents too. No authority figures or help whatsoever.
Whether or not you like that but it wasn't just random shyt in the movie for no reason.
