Lol...I took SAA on the Jan 23rd. Took Dev on Sat. So slightly under a month.

I initially planned on taking it sooner but I moved it after doing a couple of practice tests that humbled brehs. SAA was cool tho, got 901/1000.

I took those Jon bonso practices tests on Udemy.
I started getting 80s on last 2 or 3, so i knew I was adequately prepared. Questions aren’t as wordy as the practice test.

I’m taking sysops middle of March. Godspeed on that shyt tho. I’m just tired of studying this shyt

So it only took you a month to study and pass the SAA? or are you saying it took you under a month to study and pass both the SAA and Dev?

Nah breh. I started studying seriously middle of october. Initially scheduled for early December. Took series of practice tests and rescheduled to Jan. Took a chunk of December off tho. Studied for both, seeing as both overlap. Was working full time tho

This is one of the best threads on this site. I lurk daily but rarely post.

I wanna get into IT, I've been interested for years but scared to take the leap. I dont have any certs or a degree. I worked technical chat support for 1 of the biggest tech companies in the world (think about Eve's fruit) It was more customer service than tech related. I did that for w years or so. I then went to do tech support for Filemaker which is a database software similar to Excel I guess. I feel like I have average skills/knowledge. How can I accentuate my skills/experience to land my 1st help desk/IT job? I plan on studying for the A+ but I wanted to get my foot in the door somewhere in the meantime.

Sounds like you should get the A+ first since you don’t have the most technical background.

I agree, it serves its purpose for this stage in his career. I've gotten some good gigs thrown my way in the past because of it. If he's in the right market he can get some decent jobs exceptional pay for someone with an A+. I get hit up for jobs paying $27 - $30 an hour weekly based on my old out of date resume. I dont want that shyt though,. i'm good. trying to get more in -depth server admin jobs, My current admin job be on some bullshyt with their servers.
