Just to drop some game. I was talking to some guy on Reddit that got a gig with AWS. He got hired as a cloud architect. When applying, he said he had the 3 associate certs, 2 pro certs, 1 azure cert and 1 gcp cert.

I was like tf :mjtf:.

Asked him if he showcased his github and he said nah:leostare:

Said he showed them some articles of projects he worked on. Didnt know what to make of that:patrice:'

Also talked about framing answers within their leadership prinicples.

Dude said his offer was 130K tho:whew:

Depends on what you get on your first go arounds. They were humbling for me.

Also depends on your background, if you have a more sys admin background, dev might be a bit challenging. You gotta know certain api calls. It assumes you have a done some work dev-like work with platform.

Naturally if you have a more dev background, sysops might be annoying cuz you gotta know services like guardduty, config, ssm and cloudformation in depth

Are you working full time, cuz if you are, it might be tough. I would say your initial scores will prolly let you know where you stand.

I work full time but i have alot of down time at work. Each cert i'm putting around 3 to 4 hours a day and 5 on weekends as far as study. I have experience with dev and sys admin stuff.

Cool. You should be in good hands then. If you dont pass a test on the first try, give it a couple of days then retake the test. The answers he provides for each question are very in depth, so you'll know where and how to revise.

Certifications: AWS SAA, Developer, Sysops
Comptia Security+ & Linux+ If you want to work for the government or entity that may require a security cert.

Work on a few projects that you can speak to in the interview if you don’t have any AWS or cloud experience. Make sure your include Python, Linux, Bash, Terraform, Kubernetes and other in DEMAND skills. Document everything, what you did, what issues you ran into and how you solved them.

Here are some ideas on the AWS site that you can use as a base Projects on Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Once you have done that and landed a job… Welcome to 6 figures 6 certs club.. :blessed::lawd:

This studying for Sec + while working full time is killing me bruh's I might bite the bullet and take a cyber boot camp
You gonna quit your job to do it? :dwillhuh:

If not, Why you can't just lock in on your off days or for 3-4 hours at night when you get off? It only takes 1-2 months to be ready for the exam.
