IT is a broad term. If you mean Computer Science/Software Engineering then u don't wanna go into that half-assed. Logic and Algorithms will eat your a$$hole, as will data structures.
:mjlol:

30 minutes everyday at the exact same time in the exact same quiet place each day is all you need to learn the basics of any subject. 30 minutes every day for 5 weeks straight is almost 18 hours worth of study. combine that with your lectures/lab classes and you're probably at 50 hours worth of study time within just that 5 week period.

Stop trying to scaremonger people.

breh thats like now lol how the hell you get into that situation?
Yeah I just spoke to him and he’s lying like a motherfukker on his shyt. Basically would find some random company and change the name a bit. For example if a company name is glycose he’s switch it to Gleicose or glycase or some shyt like that. Then he lied about his experience saying he’s got 5+ years experience, etc.

Lol, it can either go two ways, get found n fired or the company has a training period. Most companies will train you as you start or have you work with someone.

I am honestly going to lie next year when my resume is out there :manny:. My current job does not require data Privacy but due to my job title, they will never know lol. If he knows his shyt, he good.

Didnt get the job I applied for

But have another help desk interview over the phone tomorrow
apply to volunteer in your area if you can. just getting the job title on your cv will bypass you from doing shytty help desk roles. most companies that need volunteers will usually have a shytty/broken/outdated network/system so the role will only be what you make it.

i'd rather do volunteering for a few hours every month (i'm talking about 10-20 hours a month) because the employer who's going to hire you is never going to ask how many hours you worked just the period you was there for and if you can blag a good game about know your stuff with buzz words during the interview then your next gig wont be too hard to find.

stay strong, you skinny bytch.

what does "bbn" mean?

search your local government job boards.

or how i found mine by googling charities in my local area and cold calling them to offer my services for free and/or ask what vacancies they have. get ahold of not only the HR department's email address but the head of IT as well.

cold calling charities still work because most of them need all the help they can get.

google job boards that specialise in startups and offer your services to volunteer.

volunteering is the only way to level up when you don't have the industry connections to be exposed to gaining new skills.

you'll get there, breh.

Honestly I don't even care if people lie on resumes especially for something technical like this. They should be able to sniff him out in the interview but he knows the shyt. Tbh it's kind of bullshyt you have to lie like that anyways. A person with the amount and type of experience he says he has wouldn't even be interviewing for $100k a year job. They'd be making $250k+.

I spoke to a guy that got his AWS cert (SA associates and SA professional). He got his degree in sociology so really had no prior background. After a year or so he's now 28 making like $300k. Now he does admit that his $300k salary is a bit above average but still that shows the kind of money they're throwing around. Dude told me if I get the SA professional cert he can get me a job paying $120k+ in 2 days (he gets a $8k referral bonus which is his incentive in pushing me to get it, he's even offered to pay for the the study materials and test for me which I don't need but nice of him)

Anyone know of any good study material to use to pass these 2 AWS Certs
AWS Solutions Architect -Associate and AWS Solutions Architect-Professional?

There are a few SIEM products that offer a version you can setup for home use. Learning SIEM can be daunting cause you need to learn what devices will feed logs to the SIEM, what logs are worth getting, what alerts you should be setting up, etc. Check out Splunk. I know they have a beginner course and free version that you can use for home.

Most IT you learned at home or at school? I have the splunk image but it's a PITA to install....

If I could find a real tech school for some skills I'd do that... home-based learning is very tough especially without the fundamentals down.
