Then get the certification now :why:
Since my Splunk cert has expired. I would have to start over from the beginning. And take all of them in a row just to get Administrator or Architect level.

It's just not worth it now. But a few years ago it would've made a huge difference salary wise.

You can make that much or more with 1 exam/cert. aws solution architect, certified kubernetes administrator, or any of the cloud vendor devops certs.

Anyone here work in these types of jobs?

I am really curious as to what life is like for a Security Consultant at top consulting companies. Also what is the pay like and what is the stress level.

Just putting in a bid for the CISO team as my current company, I got all the cert requirement . I want to leave my current company but if I get this job I will be here for a wall, learning and growing within that team should set me up well.

One of my friends work at amazon the bag is heavy man, damn near life changing if you can handle for at least 4 years.

Im almost a week into this desktop role, I haven’t been doing anything at all just sitting around basically… Im trying to study random troubleshooting scenarios but not sure where to start

Honestly, just read close tickets man. Working in the soc environment, most of these issues have happened before lol or something damn near similar.

Decided to go knee deep with Azure security stack.

Got my AZ900, doing SC200 and doing a bit of a secondment in an MSSP team dealing with Sentinel.

Never used it as much before, but the Mrs is expecting our first child in a few mo the and I’m adamant I’m never going to be in an office full time again. But my current role may start sending me into the field end of this year again. That’s a nope from me.

I’m 36 though, been in security since 2012 and been ducking management roles for the past few years. Still got a lot of technical skill in me, but I want to be less hands on and more of a security lead.
