I don't know if it's just me but I don't really take this show or it's writing too seriously. The only really unrealistic part to me is when homie told ol' girl he let his friend suck him off. There's no man on earth who would admit some shyt like that to a chick he doesn't really know. The leadup to it just didn't feel realistic. Went from "I streaked at a Best Western" to "I fukked my married boss" to "I let my friend suck me off... once." It would have made more sense for her to find out on accident.
I also feel like Lawrence should have better sense for someone who has been with his girl for that long. His spider senses should be tingling like crazy. shyt he should've responded to that text and pretended to be Issa.
I actually, generally, like the writing on the show. The only terrible piece was all the characters ignoring the fact that they could just message the YouTube uploadloader directly instead of hoping the two people they knew at that crowded venue would know the person; that was a clear plot device to get them to reconnect. I agree that dude just admitting that felt off, but I'd imagine you, like I, would never have had the homo encounter with your boy to begin with, so how can we truly say how someone who would do that would share this news with a chick he's pursuing? Perhaps,
@Uncle Kendrick can shed some light here, how do you let women know you've sucked a dikk or two in your past?
I thought the dialogue between her friends afterwards was pretty good, especially when one of them pointed out that if it was a white dude, she would have just chalked it up to the game. Great point, cuz if it was a white dude, I wouldn't have felt the reveal felt off either.
Regarding Lawrence, I think when you consider all that's going on with him and how he's bouncing back it's easy to see how he could be missing the signs. Looks like he's in for an awakening before the season's end tho
