They're helping Al Qaeda militants for one thing.
Israel has repeatedly warned Syria about attacking it and said it would hold the Syrian state responsible for any attacks on its territory. Seems fair to me.

Hope I could live to see the day the state of Israel ceases to exist.

@FAH1223 Israel is about to become best friends with everyone on all sides of the conflict. Look at Syrian fighters praising the medical attention they got. Now rebels who used to attack Israel are cooperating w them. Dynamics are gonna change hardcore in that region.
Israel is trash and Trump is a fukking moron for letting them do this. They'll fukk up our entire presence there if this turns into an Israeli "war" against Islam.
I swear we need to figure out a way to cut that country out of our foreign and domestic policy.
Considering the state has had to deal with a civil war and is currently attempting to regain territory near its side of the Golan, that's very strange logic from the Israelis.
They've also been helping (with medical care, weapons, logistics) these rebel groups since 2013. JPost, Times of Israel, and Haaretz reported it all back then.
The Israelis are in a funny position. They wanted to see Assad ousted and Syria to become Somalia. But it didn't happen due to Hezbollah, Iran, and Russia stepping in. They backed those FSA groups and tacticly have helped Al-Qaeda. BUT, since its clear Damascus won't fall, they're comfortable dealing with the devil they know i.e. Assad.
It seems like they're trolling with their attacks on Syrian army positions, just making life more difficult for their inevitable takeover of rebel territory.
Hezbollah is Israel's chief concern but they're a different beast now. You have Hezbollah fighters embedded with Russian forces and with IRGC.
I really doubt that the Israelis want to occupy Beirut or Tripoli to defeat them at this point. Which is what it would take and there were was buzz back in 2012 about another conflict starting. But the recent events in Syria changed everything.
They're prob good with hezbollah being preoccupied with other enemies. Israel isn't taking any territory in Syria or Lebanon anytime soon. Arab states are going to start publically recognizing and cooperating with Israel during the next decade.
Truly a testament of what an pivotal country Israel is in the region and world.

They can't until hezbollah gets depleted...that ass kicking they received by them in 2006 is telling. The IDF doesn't want to go against a full strength hezbollah ever again
