Yeah there seems to have been some hesitation with respect to how aggressive China should be right now, judging from the articles about it recently. And also the fact that the news of "Abt 1000 US Army Instructors" present in Taiwan didn't get anything but some saber ratting from the CCP is also clear they aren't where they think they need to be to undertake the invasion. U.S troop presence on Taiwan is a redline according to what they'd previously declared. So being punked out like that was not a good look.

Reclaiming Taiwan remains a core policy of the Chinese government, and it's also a useful rally around the flag issue for them.

All the articles coming out asking whether the US could sustain several war fronts--Ukraine, Middle East etc. Treasury Secretary had to come out and state the US can handle two wars simultaneously. A third front would complicate things especially politically for the US

We're not at war in Europe or the Middle East . We just got troops over there since what WW2. China doesn't even a navy so having some large army don't mean anything when its getting rained on by Tlams which would be a 1000x worse then what we say with shock n awe. If we did ever war with china , we need to go all out . Throw that Geneva convention articles of war crap out. Quit fighting with 1 arm tied behind your back
