Basically this all sounds like Iran not wanting Saudi Arabia to form with the U.S and Israel.

U.S probably doesn't want Israel to respond too harshly because this may push Saudi more to China as well.

Honestly a 1000 IQ play by Iran here that has big global implications and puts Israel in a tough spot.
