In politics no one gets 100% of what they want. Even in South Africa right now the ANC governs but the wealth is still not evenly distributed. Palestinians and the Arab league were given a large chunk of land in the 60s in negotiations but they opted for a full war because they wanted 100% of everything. They got a beat down and Israel took more land. Imagine how powerful they would have been today if they took that deal?

Hamas is a terrorist organization that is not interested in peace or any settlement. They oppose the very existence of Israel so here we are. The only solution to this crisis is a total wipeout of the terrorist Hamas and then Israel can negotiate with the Palestinians who want peace.

You may see smaller local wars such as what we are seeing in Russia/Ukraine. But the world is too economically interconnected to engage in any WW2-scale events.

World War 3 is gonna happen but its gonna be the same thing as Call of Duty online going from Team Deathmatch to Battle Royale. Its not gonna be so much US/NATO/JAPAN/ISRAEL VS THE SCO countries in a coordinated alliance vs alliance thing. Its gonna be a bunch of local wars like you said with the overall goal of undermining America, but each actor be it nation state or militant group will get there on their own terms. They wanna checkmate us by overwhelming us with multiple simultaneous crises, and attacking our democracy at home. We're arguably half way there already.

And Israel is a far right-wing fascist government who has said they do not support even a "peaceful" 2 state solution with Palestine. They want a complete genocide / displacement of all Palestinians. Not just Hamas, but even innocent women and children.
