Absolutely bad coaching. Why make KD your primary playmaker? Why have a lineup with Kyrie, Seth and Patty Mills alongside KD and some random big for extended periods of time? I remember there were moments when KD was the biggest player on the court for the Nets. They would run with a lineup of Kyrie, Seth, Patty, Bruce Brown and KD.

For this Nets team to do anything, both Kyrie and KD need to be shooting at least 25+ shots a game, Kyrie seems fine shooting more but KD has never been a super high volume scorer so idk if can put up those type of attempts like that.

He lost his explosion after the ankle surgery. It’s not there anymore, he doesn’t jump as high anymore and his posture has gotten worse since 2019. You can see it when he’s dribbling the ball he hunches his back. And his handle is terrible now, he’s averaging 3 turnovers a game. Sometimes he just looses the rock, or like in the playoffs against Boston if you pressure him enough and body him up he will fumble every time. His game isn’t as sharp as it use to be and that bald spot is growing everyday.

He's averaged 3 turnovers his whole career. This is nothing new. This is what happens when his team is not built for him to only worry about scoring 30.
