Of course, their defense is gonna look better if they're playing the likes of the Knicks (19th-ranked offense), Hornets (28th-ranked offense), Wizards (22nd-ranked offense) and the Clippers (29th-ranked offense).

A whole stretch of games playing against some of the worst-performing offenses in the league.

He said dropping 30 when your opponent scores less than 100 points is more impactful than dropping 30 in 120-130 point game.

Don't see any lies here :yeshrug:

The Nets are still running the same type of lineups.

I don't know where the fukk this idea is coming from that they're no longer running small lineups like that. They had a three-guard setup there against the Clippers for an extensive stretch. They're using the same personnel as when Nash was coach (except for Cam); Claxton is their only big, so they have no choice but to go small when he's off the floor, and his minutes have remained the same.

The only real changes are superficial - players are forced to step up without Kyrie, and it's the honeymoon period with a new coach.

Their schedule has eased up over the last 5-6 games, that's largely the reason why they look better.

They opened the season against:

Pelicans
Raptors
Grizzlies
Bucks
Mavs.

All playoff teams (from last season).

Their last six games without Nash they've played:

Bulls
Wizards
Hornets
Mavs
Knicks
Clippers

Only two of those are playoffs teams, and the Nets lost both those games.

The Nets have only beaten ONE playoff team this season and that was when Nash was still coach.

We'll see how they fare over this next stretch and then we can reassess:

T'Blazers
Grizzlies
76ers
Raptors
Pacers
T'Blazers.

Oh, and would you take a look at that - the moment they have to defend against legitimate offenses, they get their shyt pushed in.

And yet folks were damn convinced Nash was the problem. Let's hope Jacque doesn't get thrown under the bus too, and they address the actual problem.

Seems like some of y'all Nets fans in here don't even know your own team either.
