In many years of Mike's prime he was averaging about 3 points per game more than Karl Malone. And always on more shots per game.

It baffles how you guys spew this nonsense about how big the gap was between Michael and everyone else. And it is even more baffling how you guys disparage today's players who on average are far, far, far more athletic and technically gifted than players from 30 years ago.

Michael was an athletic cheat code 30 years ago.
That wouldnt be the case so much today. You all shouldn't take that so personally. It's simply a credit to the development of the game.

Michael gonna look extra crazy with Randy Wittman, Danny Ainge, Craig Ehlo guarding him.

His best defenders are Joe Dumars and John Starks? They was 6’3 maybe 190 pounds.

Michael was 6’6 and 216 pounds.

And these players had to guard him man with no zone?

How many players can you say really made Michael work on the defensive end really made him exert energy on both ends in his playoff bouts?

“Jordan was the only one with that athleticism then. Now 11 or more players have that athleticism”

“Lebron and Durant would’ve looked mutants if they played then”

10-11 guys that can run and jump like MJ? Nah

THERE WERE BETTER ATHLETES IN THE 80S THAN THERE ARE TODAY .. MUFUCCAZ WAS GROWN MEN BACK N THE DAY

NIQUE IS MORE ATHLETIC THAN KD BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS

MYCHAL THOMPSON WAS LIKE A BODYBUILDER.. DUDE WOULD BODY ANY BIG IN THE LEAGUE TODAY

ISIAH’S HATE FOR MJ IS GREATER THAN HIS LOVE FOR HIMSELF

You're not going to mention John Stockton? Malone was efficient and one-dimensional.

The Truth
shyt that made Jordan GOAT was that they literally created “Jordan Rules” just to check him... Physical as fukk... and he still dominated in his prime.

It’s sad how some of y’all :cape: for Jordan no matter what, and discount anything that a player might do better than him.

Yup. MJ did his thing in his era and sold a lot of shoes, but obviously if the 80s era Lakers/Celtics shared the same decade as the 90s Bulls, the ring count for MJ likely becomes less (same for Magic/Bird)... because it's not a 1 on 1 contest.

On the flipside, you bring prime Lebron and prime KD to the 80s or 90s, and the spectacle of MJ is now split 3 ways bc a 7 foot nygga who can dribble like Isiah, shoot like Bird, glide like Clyde is going to turn heads, and so is a 6'8 superior version of Len Bias.

Any of those scenario would be a win for actually bball fans, to see those matchups.

I could have sworn he was gone. Then again, James Edwards and that turn around jumper was killing him...but I thought that was the year prior.

Kareem just seemed like he was. He was a shell of himself in his last season. Although he did manage one very good finals game.

I think the injuries in that finals prevented would have been a classic series. I think Detroit would have won in 6 or 7, but it would have been a great series. Lakers were rolling up to that point, going 11-0
