Yeah I know

If you watch him play you can easily see why people consider Jordan the GOAT, it's not about stats it's about how skilled he was. He's on another level than players like Bron and KD and comparing them is disrespectful

You can compare their stats cool but not how skilled they were, Jordan is clearly better

how do you measure skill¿

you see productivity as something independent of skill¿

Anyone with a brain can see the evolution of the game :mjlol:

Lebron, KD, Giannis, Kawhi, Paul George, Butler, etc being allowed to "hand check" on defense :picard:

"Illegal defense" rules forcing teams to play Harden single coverage/no zones :picard:

PJ Tucker and Pat Bev knowing they could foul the shyt outta you :troll:

CP3 knowing he can still flop like a fish just like Danny Ainge and Laimbeer :wow:

I'm just saying stats alone or dominating more doesn't make you better. Players like Bron and Shaq would be dominant in any era off the simple fact that they're physically monsters

Russ averaged a triple double for like 3 straight seasons and nobody ever called him the best player

consensus opinion¿

you can see how that's
shaky right¿

Jordan defensively is leagues ahead of Bron and KD and offensively is far more skilled than Bron

Yea they might've been just as or more dominant but they wouldn't be better :yeshrug: Jordan still better than both
The old heads brainwashed you :mjlol:

He can be better but he’s simply not leagues better or far better than them. If they were all in the league at the same time perception would be a lot different.

Go ahead throw prime KD on the ‘96 Sonics.

Go ahead throw prime LeBron on the ‘92 Cavs.

You're always going to have to take dominance in an era into consideration. Athletes keep getting better...bigger, faster, stronger. That ain't changing. Just have to look at someone compared to their contemporaries...that's why Mike is the GOAT.

In MJ era he had two main rivals at his position

Clyde Drexler every bit the athlete that Mike was but with an unorthodox game. He was good at putbacks, cutting, fastbreak finishing, post ups, could shoot it decent off screens got better as he aged. The man dribbled with his head down though. In terms of on-ball skills not seeing Mike at all and he didn’t have that competitive mean streak either.

Then you got Reggie Miller who did most his work off-ball cutting and spotting up, working the screens, slippery slashing, flopping getting to the line, not much of an athlete or ball handler. Reggie had Mike’s competitive mean steak but he wasn’t near his level as a player and he didn’t have a Pippen.

Mike never lined up with some bad mfs with elite ball skills and athleticism. He never lined up with a monster like KD, LeBron, Kobe, Dwyane Wade in his prime. He stands out more amongst his peers.

When Hill, A.I., and Penny faced the Bulls you see Michael and Pippen suddenly getting crossed out they sneaks. And they was nice but not even in the gawd tier of players like the ones I mentioned above.

its about what you come up against

These nikkas are bigger/stronger/faster because of the nikkas before them that was all that without modern technology.. without having anybody pioneer that type of talent.

But people act like these cats weren’t big/strong/fast naturally... like Bo Jacksons just running around now..

Rookie Shaq in this era would dominate ANYBODY

There wasn’t many people jumping from the FT line before MJ. That was looked at as almost impossible. But since MJ did it, now you got monsters like Zion that can do that. But who did they get it from?

my thing is that era was about getting shyt the hard way. Them unathletic white boys was holding, fouling, fukking you up so you will be scared to bring your ass in the paint again. And there were strong/athletic freaks like Shaq, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Alonzo Mourning, Shawn Kemp, etc., patrolling too.. MJ was about all of that as a GUARD.

Jordan wasn’t scared though... he did the Kobe shyt and put on weight just to prepare for the physicality FIRST. He did it before Kobe... and imo, Kobe was the last real tough nikka/killa in the league. I like Russ, Kawhi, and Giannis because they show it at times.

But like I said, it was more of the mentality that made these dudes tougher to me. They were lifting old school weights... not rubber bands and bumper plates.

Football players were wearing big ass pads and primitive ass helmets, running into each other at fullspeec, playing against the best at that time.
MJ is the GOAT for what he accomplished and how he accomplished it.. retiring TWICE, playing against legendary teams, coaches, and players ALL the way to the finals... in the literal golden era of the NBA. nikka changed the culture on and off the court.
