No it doesn't. We're not talking just a poor shooting percentage, we're talking a historically awful percentage, one of the worst shooters of all-time. Isaiah Thomas is a defensive liability, but his offense is the difference between this team having a top 5 record and this team picking in the top 10 of the draft. Marcus Smart is a very good defender, but if you want to count the amount of games his defense and "Tommy points" have won this team over the 3 years he's been here, it probably won't move past one hand. Surely won't be higher than the amount of games where Smart wasted countless possessions on offense
When I no longer have the same reaction when Amir Johnson shoots a 3, as I do when Smart takes a shot then I'll be glad to have him stick around long-term. Until then he's the same flopping, offensively deficient clown he's been since he first got here
