Right now 4 of the top 5 picks are projected to be point guards with the only wing being Josh Jackson, but seeing as how deep the PG spot is in the league I'd expect Tatum/Issac to go top 5 as well. I think Issac fits the mold of what Danny has been trying to get, but he won't be able to help for awhile.

You all need a PF in the worst way, the problem with this draft is that the most talented player is Harry Giles who is a PF, but he also has knees on borrowed time. Your best bet really is to try and get Nerlens Noel, I know you all want to keep the pick but there's virtually nobody in the draft that will be able to help you all immediately at the spot you need most.

The 2017 Brooklyn pick for Noel is too much especially considering he's restricted and has a solid chance at a max deal

But I'm interested in him regardless just not at that price

Incredible feat, especially at his height.

I think you're overvaluing the pick, this draft doesn't really have players your team needs, better yet it doesn't have any players that will contribute for you for a while. It'll be another situation where you take a young guy that just sits on the bench as an asset whose value isn't that high because he doesn't play much, like Jaylen Brown. A pick for Nerlens isn't too much considering his age and what he does on the court, especially not a guard heavy team in a draft that's PG heavy and light on PF/C.

They would be able to get Noel without the 2017 Brooklyn pick

There's no doubt in my mind

Philly don't have any leverage

How? The Sixers do have leverage, he's a RFA and if they want they can just wait it out and see the offers he gets and decide if they want to match. They can always re-sign him and then trade him at a later date. There's nothing you want to trade them that they'd accept, and there's nothing they'd ask for (Nets pick, Avery Bradley or Jaylen Brown) that you'd be willing to give up.

He's heading into free agency and could potentially make $20 million a year and I'm giving up the Brooklyn pick for that?

They can have Tyler zeller, the clips first they owe us and our 2018 first rounder

The Sixers are going to have $33 million in salary after this season, they aren't even remotely close to the salary cap and giving a dude $20 million and then just trading him later wouldn't hurt them. The package you're talking about is horrible and they can no doubt do better than that, hell I'd rather have Allen Crabbe & Vonleh than that. The Raptors, and Blazers are also interested in him...both can offer much better than that Zeller package.

Nerlens is a RFA, not URFA, he's still locked up for next season if they want to play it out.

"Meanwhile, Bogut as a rim protector gives Boston exactly what it needs. They can roll with a smallball lineup with Horford at center if necessary, or play Horford and Bogut together. Just improving their defense by a fraction could be enough to make them the second-best team in the Eastern Conference after a frustrating, inconsistent start to the year."

Why would the sixers max out Noel when a) they have a logjam and b) he wants out?

It makes sense because it doesn't mess with our cap flexibility and we could easily do zeller young and a crappy 1st rounder for him but Danny would have that as his plan z and not jump on a trade like that unless he explored every avenue for a legit star
