We've been a trash Interior defending, and rebounding team all year. It shocked me earlier in the season because we were a good defensive team the past couple years, but game after game teams were having a layup drill against us. Amir, Olynyk, Jerebko, and Zeller got to go. Playing small ball gimmick basketball can only get you so far. Robin Lopez was manhandling us all year on the glass, but I wasn't expecting him to start hitting damn near every jump shot he takes. And Paul fukking Zipser is giving us that work.

Not really. In fact, he already got us two rebounders for the next season.

Rest assure that fakkits like Olynyk and Zeller will be gone next season. And if Danny draft Jackson, this team would instantly transform from soft ass pretenders to tough junkyard squad that no one wants to face both in regular season and playoffs.

I hope this isn't true. :francis:

According to an NBA source, the Celtics coaching staff was in favor of trading for Anthony at the trade deadline, but general manager Danny Ainge had too many reservations. One of Ainge’s concerns, according to a source, was an Anthony trade would have given Boston no real cap space to work with for the 2017 free-agent class.

With the top-seeded Celtics possibly on their way to getting swept by the eighth-seeded Bulls, Ainge’s thoughts on adding Anthony could change this July.

The Post has learned that in talks with the Celtics, their defensive small forward Jae Crowder would be a major player of interest for Knicks president Phil Jackson. In fact, Jackson lamented not trading for Crowder when he was on the table in the 2014 trade talks with the Mavericks for Tyson Chandler. Crowder is an active, gritty defender who can shoot from 3-point range.

Report: Celtics trading for Carmelo Anthony becoming more likely

This is the bullshyt I hate seeing when things aren't going well. Writers post dumb articles and try and make out a player like he's the savior that would lead us to the finals. Carmelo is gonna be 33 next year, makes 26 mil, can't play defense, is distracted by his divorce, and is not the player he used to be. Getting him would not solve our glaring weakness, Interior defense and rebounding. I'd rather try and trade for a couple big guys. I was liking the Vucevic rumors during the season. Melo is a guy you'd trade for if you have a team that is 1 player away from competing. We are still 2-3 players away and would have to give up too much to get him.

Danny's probably gonna bank on Zizic and Yabusele to solve that weakness. And we're a trade/free agent acquisition away from being a genuine contender.

I don't want Melo anywhere near the Cs at all

Good win tonight. Glad we took advantage of Rondo's absence and showed a collective effort to crash the boards.

I do think Stevens is making a big mistake by having a 10-man rotation. He should keep it down to 8. It was obvious in tonight's game that we lost the lead during the game the when bench guys had extended minutes; and it's not like we had good bench scoring either. With a shorter rotation, we'd be more likely to keep our leads against this Bulls team.

I'm having second thoughts on this team moving on from Avery Bradley. Dude's defense alone is a huge difference-maker. And dude can obviously shoot lights out.
