This is a lot to answer, lol... but my point wasn't to compare The Undertaker or the Attitude Era, it was to say that WWE, as it stands in 2021, still gives us both good and bad things. A lot of people would only prefer to focus on the bad, but that's another story. What I am saying is, most agree that Smackdown is a well-run show that is usually more hit than miss... Raw these days has been more miss than hit. Still, the same person is making the final decision on the both of these shows, which has been the case forever... which means just like we got Undertaker AND Gobbeldy Gooker, we get this dope Roman/Uso storyline AND this boring ass Rhea/Charlotte stuff... because even in his best days, he was still givin us good shyt and some awful shyt that he thought was also good. So for me, I don't always get why it gets treated like the end of the world every time there's a shytty show or a dumb ass match or gimmick, or these hokey ass skits and shyt. This ain't some brand new senile Vince losin his mind, 40 year old Vince woulda done the same goofy shyt!

The WWE are not giving you "good things and bad things".:comeon:

They give you 90% awful shyt and then every once in a while, they'll give you something good like The Hurt Business or Roman "The Tribal Chief" Reigns, or "The Fiend", but will eventually ruin that until it's just as bad or even worst than everything else.

Even before I stopped watching last year, that shyt was unbearably bad, and from everything I've heard and seen it's even worst and the ratings reflect that.

WWE today is like "The Simpsons", a past it's prime show that's just a hollowed out zombie at this point.

DB and Punk were no where the popularity of Cena.

based on what??

cena wasnt as over as them, nor did he move the needle like they did.

somebody said cena was the last wrestler popular with non-wrestling fans. my response to that is, why couldnt he bring them in?? cuz cm punk & daniel bryan sure managed to reel the outsiders in with what they were doing.

Wacky d has the absolute worst opinions on this site, and he SWEARS whatever bullshyt he types up is gospel

The booking is the problem with wrestling. The industry needs competent people with fresh ideas to draw more fans.

Right now it seems like the wrestling fanbase consists of old WWE fans and weirdo male and female neckbeards.

Also I know this has been mentioned before, but when will we ever see a black wrestler (male or female) be champ and be dominate? With a long title reign?:mjpls:

The current heads of these companies won't do it and seem to have excuses for it. :mjpls:

Wrestling isn't dying it just doesn't have a boom period or mainstream appeal like it did during the Monday Night Wars. Wrestling has a lane but the issue with the two main companies is WWE wants to win over the causal or the folks the lost post AE. The problem with AEW is they are just trying to win over the fan base that is frustrated WWE ironically by using their tactics which is what is killing them. AEW created this thesis that their brand would potentially be the American version on NJPW and its not.

I just want Wrestling to cater to the demographic that is still loyal to it.

Y’all look back at nostalgic wrestling with rose colored glasses

The same problem of silly booking choices, goofy writing etc. existed then the same as now. Its the reason wrestlecrap exists. If the golden era of wrestling coincided with today’s internet age, you nikkas would be on here overly criticizing everything the same way ya’ll do now

There would be stone cold unappreciation threads and all lat

nikkas were just younger and want that old feeling back, but it’s gone

I'm just going to throw this out there since I been on a big Lapsed Fan/Dark Side of the Ring binge, while I was trying to beat the godawful "WWE Battlegrounds". The only way wrestling will get a tad beyond the niche department is by a huge shakeup.

WWE at this moment reminds me of the New Generation with hidden gems (Tribal Warchief, NXT trying to survive, and......the fans coming back in a few weeks:yeshrug:), but they are still in the shytter that so happens to pump money out of the a$$hole.

Meanwhile you have AEW.....trying to come up but.....:francis:.

Now yall know I am always on my prediction type of steez when it comes down to professional wrestling and life in general, but I see a ace in the sleeve that will be critical for AEW to strive beyond what the "Stinks" thread is brewing. A long time ago I predicted a rival company on the verge of a comeup. Now lets say that AEW somehow has a signee that will change the direction of the bookings. Along with a major signing that will make a huge impact to the business. Along with a sudden shift in the atmosphere for the wrestling business.

This would be major to bring back the needed attention for wrestling to strive in a entertainment world that is struggling through the aftermath of the pandemic.

Then again, this could still be bullshyt because the high will never come back:mjcry:
