the problem is:

full

he runs the most popular brand associated with wrestling. he runs the brand that appealed most to young children for the last 40 years.

now it appeals to no one but himself and his most diehard of cultists. CM Punk's tweets about WWE creative were pretty spot on, no matter what I think about him.

Lets keep it a buck though. Promoters like Vince treat wrestlers like oversized toys. Its not even about ratings anymore, its about throwing shyt on the wall to just piss off the the OCD in wrestling fans. From Vince, to Tony, and even Gedo have this stigma of seeing how to raise the blood pressure of wrestling fans. Damn the ratings and how to make the product good, it's just a element of power.

People have been trying to speak the death of wrestling into existence for years now, just like they do with boxing.

And the answer is no

:francis:Boxing is a different beast because it's more on the sense of direction with the platform. Wrestling itself is a carny fukking mess that can't get beyond 1998-2001.Boxing actually can fill asses into seats with shytty fights involving a YouTuber, while wrestling itself can't even relive the days of the 90s with the asses to seats ratio.

This is why folks such as this koala pray for the downfall of wrestling because it's tiresome and frustrating when we are in 2021, yet no promotion can't get how to create a show without nostalgia and deadbeat ideas.

Sadly the only promotions that try to restore the feeling are in Japan and under the radar of wrestling heads that dikk lick Vince and Tony like Onlyfan THOTS (IMPACT, GCW, MLW, etc).

the difference is i believe that Gedo and Tony at least remember what they had for breakfast this morning.

Vince is done. he's dying days Al Davis, he has lost whatever he had and the longer they continue to let him run shyt the more detrimental it will be to wrestling. at least Al Davis didn't run the the equivalent of the NFL or American Football, he just ran a single team that's still in recovery 2 decades later.

I have no clue but it's like all middle age people that watch wrestling now lol.

Thats it. That's always been the demographic. Its old heads and neckbeards. Its been that way during the swapmeet matches of NWA to the Creative Center with the WWE. How we can fix this problem? You can't because that audience moved on. Why watch some fake shyt, when you can watch legit real fights with WWE theatrics?

Why spend three hours watching Raw, when you can see gifs and play 2K19?

In the end, only OGs from the days of the 90s are sticking with this bullshyt, including this Koala who pops in from time to time to catch a show because boredom and a chase of the high that is long gone:mjcry:

If you build it they will come the problem is wrestling hasn't been decent since like the later years of the ruthless agression era that goes for all companies.

Touche'.

Gedo at least put the strap on somebody that wrestling fans actually gave a shyt about. Tony is Tony. Vince....dude reminds me of a walking wrestling embodiment of Nintendo. They thrive in the 80s during the fall of video games (wrestling peaking to southern folks and old heads), went hard in the 90s despite some hic ups, struggle in the 2000s, but somehow making a killing in 2010s despite the glory days being gone.

This is where AEW dropped the ball. Even though Stinks thread had some trolly shyt, the reality was all in the thread. This promotion could had been the beginning of something special, but in the end we got WWE 2.0. It hurts because I remember watching "All In" and going, this is special. Now, I'm just sad and flabbergasted because the promotion is no different from the countless promotions that try to push this whole "ITS GOING TO BE BETTER" shyt, but ends up half stepping and falling back on every promise.

We almost had a hit with Lucha Underground but....sighs:mjcry:

Tv ratings are not indicative to the state of pro wrestling lol

This.

Lately, there has literally been a wrestling related program on every night of the week except Saturday. There's more companies that people are paying attention to than there was 20 years ago when WWE's only real competitors went under. Is it 80s boom popular? No. Is it Attitude Era popular? No. But "dead" or "dying" is far from the truth. When WrestleMania can't fill a stadium, when these TV shows are getting canceled, when these companies are facing bankruptcy, we can ask this question.

There’s more wrestling on TV than there was in years :heh: as long as Wrestlemania sells out every year, wrestling will never be dead
