So yeah on a good night 500k doesn't sound so dumb on a good night, if you sell 15k tickets at 50 bucks a ticket that's 750k again give the 40% and you get 300k. Sell 10k at 100 bucks, a million bucks, 40% 400k.

Unlike a cd where you need to pay for all the promotion, features, samples, radio slots, personal, magazines, payola and all types of costs involved with launching a CD a tour is a lot simpler. And the expected costs (excluding the rappers fee) relative to the expected revenue is a lot smaller, if there is good information about how big crowd the artist attracts.

How many other college shows did jayz get 750k for?? Exactly these numbers are not what artist get for every show. Ticket prices has nothin to do what a artisit get because that's none of their business. You have no idea what the insurance costs or venue cost are so your math is useless.

I actually have done business with a cat out in az that has done concerts with the likes of Janet Jackson to Rick Ross. Some of my people used to have a promotions team that rented out venues and threw parties. So you can continue on not knowing what the hell you talkin about and thinking adding up estimated ticket sales means you think you know what a rapper is getting.
