Chalmers was not a great pick. I'd say Josh Richardson was probably a better pick than Chalmers but we need 2 more years to confirm that.Pat hasn’t gotten the draft right in 15 years. You always take the mountain of picks if the player you want isn’t LeBron or Shaq or Michael type obvious. Our best draft pick since 2004 has been Mario Chalmers

Dont most coaches hand-pick their rosters, tho? Modern-day NBA FOs mainly look for players who best fit their system/culture unless a player is a superstar and they build everything around said player.

that's not me saying that Richardson is that great of a pick. I'm just saying that Chalmers was average at best. We got very good use out of him for a late 2nd rounder. My problem with him was always that he has no court division for somebody who supposedly play point guard. I know he was not all real point guard but since she was playing the position I have certain expectations. I was one of those . that Puerto Rican guy should've started over him. I can't recall his name. But since the team has the traffic invested in him you give them the minutes to prove his worth
