Lol WTF are you talking about? A lot of people marry based on the best potential mother/father, earnings potential, family compatibility, etc. Hence the attractive WW you see with stable Seth Rogen’s. Those women could get more attractive men but they’d be stuck in Situationshipland like many BW.

This is why I chose to be 5ft7 and swagless. Because it automatically made me a good partnerA lot of BM still operate like single men while married. A lot of BW prioritize height and swag over character and integrity when choosing partners. Combine both and unfortunately none of this is really surprising.
Whether the numbers are correct or not, us black folk do a LOT of talking ABOUT relationships but sometimes fail to do the WORK a successful relationship requires.
It means you have to work on YOURSELF first!
A lot of us don’t have great examples of what a good, loving, relationship looks like. Nobody wants to “put their feelings out there” or “get their feelings hurt” but that is the point of a relationship, to put your feelings and emotions in the trust of another…we do all the stuff before marriage, like having children (which is a LIFETIME commitment) but don’t go into happy fulfilling marriages…
People were made to love another, a good fulfilling marriage is work, but it will give you a lifetime friend and partner who (should be) as committed as you to make this thing work… we over-complicate things trying to “save/spare” ourselves the feeling or heartbreak…

We should focus more on the quality of life for longtime married couples vs divorcees. Rather than just the stats.

It’s interesting I’ve noticed you rail against the dangers of Trump for Black ppl but not the dangers of Black ppl moving to the boonies. What happens when a White Trump supporter in the boonies rear ends your car, claims you braked too hard and it escalates with him pulling his gun out? Or when a police officer in the boonies pulls you over in a remote area and the only witnesses are Trump supporters? Or when your Black kids have to go to school the day after elections and everyone including the teachers are hyped?
