Not when commentating on politics and these days, I don't know if you have heard him speak a length or read his blogs, but he honestly seems demented at this point.






Sorry, I don't care for the guy on political matters. I'm not deep into economics so my opinion of his books and work, although he does have a good intro book, stop short there, but on political matters, I would love to see a modern debate on issues. Hell, I would pay to speak/debate the guy at length on social issues.


This is a good intro book though, I will always defend that, I know there is a tendency towards bias is the book, which I can easily mute out, but I think even most economists at odds with him would recommend the book due to how digestible it while covering all the basics, which are important for anyone following political matters that intercept with the economy, which most, if not all, do.

Thomas Sowell?

Sowell is only propped up because he's the only black economist they like what they hear him saying but they never ask him for actual economic analysis.

Its the same with Glenn Loury. He's useful in the conservative culture wars (even though he has a gay son) but they'll never ask him to go on CNBC
