Is there any one super hero more popular than Spider-Man at this point?

It’s why it’s laughable that people tried making the argument that the MCU doesn’t need Spiderman :mjlol:
Before the live action films popped off the most popular Marvel characters were Spiderman and Wolverine in the 90s. Literally no one cared about Cap, Ant Man, Ironman, Black Widow, Hawkeye etc back then. Hulk was kinda cool but even he wasn't really popping like that then

I'd even argue that Venom was more popular than the Avengers in the 90s

That's why I gotta give MCU props for making characters no one cared about popular household names. shyt....I don't remember literally anyone mentioning Guardians of the Galaxy in the 90s and if u did ppl would be like who?

I edited but yeah I'd say he is right now.

My point is, how you defining popularity? If it's about numbers

And that was 3 years before this happened.

We talking about over the last 100 years or RIGHT NOW? Avengers or Justice League?

if the parameters are set AT THIS POINT (like the thread title says) I don't see any parametrs you can set for Batman to win a popularity contest with Spiderman, or Superman for that matter.

really, only comics wise does batman beats spider man. its the only way to explain a crap character like harley becoming so popular too

Spidey has had the crown for a solid minute now, and it’s not going away anytime soon.

I’m pretty sure The Batman will be great, but with the plans Marvel has in store for Holland’s version and the fact that he’s in a shared universe, it’s hard to see Spider-Man not ruling this decade.

First post in the thread. We live in a society where the MCU stan haters have become more obsessed and crazed than the stans themselves.

WATTBA

Who is a MCU stan hater as it’s certainly not me :mjlol:

Cats on here love throwing that word around whenever someone has a comment that doesn’t match their thought process.
