Looking at the nominees for best actor in 97 and look at this shyt.

  • Geoffrey Rush. Shine.
  • Tom Cruise. Jerry Maguire.
  • Ralph Fiennes. The English Patient.
  • Woody Harrelson. The People vs. Larry Flynt.
  • Billy Bob Thornton. Sling Blade.
Who the fukk is that and what is Shine? I don't even remember that movie or actor but he beat every actor in those classic movies.:snoop:

I think Cruise got a certified classic in the 80's, 90's, 00's & 10's...that's 4 decades:whoo:

.Only some heavyweights like Pacino, De Niro & Hanks can claim that....
Marlon Brando had 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s.

When I said that Cruise had the most classics, I meant that he only makes blockbuster films. The closest he got with something artsy was Eyes Wide Shut.

My bad. Look I know everyone else on the list I’m just not familiar with his work. Looking back on the winners for Oscars you can tell some of the judges were on some snob shyt. I still say that list is glaring.

I think Cruise has as many as those people, combined.

Meryl Streep probably comes close to Cruise tho.

I wish he’d go back to playing heavy, flawed characters again. Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut, Vanilla Sky, and Collateral are all films I thought he killed it in. He’s more of a movie star nowadays with the MI franchise and those insane set pieces/stunts. I didn’t really enjoy American Made all that much. That being said, his filmography as of today is still one of the strongest out there.
