i don't have too much time to explain every detail but the "reason" this is taking so long is because Republicans won't vote to pass this through a regular vote.

You need 60 votes for this bill.

So the Dems are now going to pass it through reconciliation which is a longer drawn out process. So thank the Republicans for why it's taking longer...
