Is there a better option than blindly down balloting?

So let's assume that the President is great, but the locals are all trash in a blue state. And down ballot you just put #ADOS on all of them.

What is the expected result? Or even next step?
So during the election year. You contact your local representive in Congress Senate and or Mayor contact by phone, letter, social media etc. Preferly with a local group of black civic and politically minded people such as ADOS local chapter that meets communicates regularly.
Also set up an in person meeting with a local congressman like ADOS So Cal did with Congresswoman Bass. ADOS in Illinois chapter contacted Congressman Bobby Rush who is on a commerce to write letter threatening to breakup Comcast for attacking the 1866 Civil Rights Act in the US Supreme Court that protects against Racial Descrimnation in entering business contracts.
And also another chapter helped elect a local judge who is friendly to black interest.

All this is done before going into a voting booth with the understanding that serving back interest will result in black turnout at the polls.

Now let's say you do all that and the congressmen tells you to kick ROCKS then black people that have been regularly informed organized thru local chapters church, NAACP etc. One can protest and ddemonstrations calling attention to the neglect by the congressman and/or at the poll write in ADOS. That congressmen would lose a high number of votes that result in him losing losing his office because he did not get enough votes to win against another Democrat in a primary election and/ or in the subsequent election he did not get enough black votes to win against a Republican.
The method to me seems to be the best used before a Democratic Primary Election especially localy.

Also n realife there is a explicitly pro ADOS candidate in GA who is runnijng for Congress who even uses the hashtag who just met her fundraising goal. Some ADOS are running her against another Democrat to take office.

Also in the Capeheart Twitter clip in the prior post tge voting strategy "blank out" voting a form of down ballot voting may need to be used a couple times in a row to get the desired effect.

This seems like a better strategy to me. Putting up candidates who will push or pass a black agenda.

So Trump gets a 2nd term before something good happens. Or you're saying blanking out down ballot votes twice in a row, will get us #ADOS candidates on the 3rd go around?

The problem, IMO, of a black agenda is that black agenda can look like a CVS receipt. Other groups tend to have 1 to 5 major issues that they coalesce around and demand. Black people have just about every problem a person can think of. Therefore their demands get watered down or just given to everyone black or non-black. The best thing to come out of 2016 if not the 2018 midterms is the talk of reparations. That is the one singular purpose the majority of black people (the majority being African-American) can agree on.

In the meanwhile, when it comes to getting things done for a black agenda, I think Tavis Smiley's Contract with Black America lays out a very good list of issues we need to get government to get on.

If you have a particular issue in your county - you need to link up with other county/city heads/reps.

For instance, back home they charge people on the Black (low-income) side of town a $265 yearly Rubbish/trash tax bill.

Yet, most of the people in that area have a Property Tax Cap and are low-income -- and have been targeted and victims of Tax liens (water and trash) - which add up every quarter - that have led many people to lose their home.

“I think in particular with schools we have a great imbalance between our high-needs school districts and our well-off school districts in terms of per pupil spending. The tax cap is institutionalizing these inequities,” Deutsch said.

Secondly, white homeowners reap the largest benefits from the cap because they have historically owned homes at a greater rate than people of color and on average own more valuable homes.

I had to reach out and meet with City Manager and City Council members to let them know it was outrageous - for people who are barely making it -- and they are already behind on their taxes. In addition, they don't be having trash like that - and do not get to utilize all the benefits that come with the Rubbish services cause it's not on their side of town. Basically, Black folks paying for White peoples Rubbish, Recycling and Compost services.

I say all that to say you need to find out WHO to vote for and rally behind - to help get your issues solved. And call them out if they don't. This is ongoing. I found out about it last year - and been trying to get it changed ever since.

Becoming more politically and civically involved is important. Like @Asicz said it's something that a lot of us haven't engaged in enough.

It's on you as a member of your community to do the work and due diligence.

You can work with you local Black orgs - and ask them who they back and why ---that is if they are legit chapters and out there really informed and doing work. You have to know what issues are up to be voted on.

You can find out whats going on via issues you know in your community.

Another issue I hate back home is allowing all Family Dollars, Generals etc to come in and hot have a Grocery store. So, I have to find out who to go after and call out.

who ran for a City Council seat in 2016 on a platform of boosting access to healthy food and full-service groceries in the neighborhood. Once she took office, she began to push for a policy that would limit the expansion of dollar stores in north Tulsa, and instead grant priority for local, independent, and full-service groceries. Both the city’s planning commission and the daily newspaper opposed it on the grounds that granting a permit to a rapidly expanding chain is a surer bet than offering space to a new business.

Why dollar stores are bad business for the neighborhoods they open in

I'm not running though - cause I spend half my time in Michigan and half out of state. But, I will talk and work with the City Council when I am back home to ask members to help with a policy.

One scenario is black citizens get orgwnized locally or regionally contact all Demorcratic presidential canidates running and demand a black agenda and or reparations. The Democrat candidate tells them unfortunately tells them to kick rocks. Black people " blankout" the vote in rhe Presidential Canudarte box down ballot in mass in March through a June 2020 Democratic Primary elections 2020.

At this point the Democratic National Commitee is like woah 80% black voters showed up and wrote ADOS or blank.
Let's give these black people those items on the black agenda / reparations!

Or they say kick rocks again.
After the 2020 Dem presidential Primary. Nov.4 2020
ADOS and black voters in mass blank vote in the demorcwtic presidential canudate box vs Trump box leave both boxes blank.

Trump winds up winning. In 2020 the Democrats are like oh man! We need the black vote and we need our canidate run on reparations / black agenda.
Then blacks vote in mass for that candidate for pres and or Congress etc.

I can't really explain what happens after that.

I’m have a undergrad degree in Political Science which is why I don’t engage with the back and forth unless it’s people really trying to unify and work toward solutions for the issues not just talk on message boards to display how knowledgeable they are. What I do know is that these types of petty divisionary comments and catty fukkin posts (like your above) are not going to do shyt but more of the same since people seem to be more distracted into playing tit for tat, post to post, to demean each other for demonstration purposes instead of putting the energy where it needs to go.

Now most of y’all are participating in the same tactics that cacs and non-ados do, but now all of a sudden it’s “Tariq followers ain’t shyt” . Yeah ok. Great job towards unification and coding up, the positive feedback; this should end well. I will hang my head in shame since I understand both objections and don’t want either faction of the movement warring with each other; I’m no longer accepted into the cult club. Thanks.

Yes, do your research on each individual canidate on the ballot if that wasnt already obvious

Of course that would mean researching the republican canidates which would likely legitimize why you'd end up "voting down ballot" anyway.

Lets not pretend you're trying to have a nuanced conversation, this is just another "fuk duh dimokratz" thread that happens to be unnecessarily wordy
