I mean he acknowledged he needed a job and Gunplay hinted at the fact that he was "told" to take that position on his recent Combat Jack appearance (and also said the boy had the devil inside of him :merchant: ) ...is it really that hard to imagine that theres a side to Ross that keeps him in the highest graces of the realest dudes in the industry? :lupe:

Its easy for 50 Cent to make fun of...but is that because he's playing on the ignorance of a more sinister truth? :patrice:

Absolutely not.

But some people question it being he initially denied it or was reluctant to acknowledge the past, although understandable.

Then there's just haters and the sheep.

He lied about being a CO when it was first brought up, so that tarnishes his credibility. It's not likely.

/thread

Had dude jumped out and said "yea the fukk I was...how you think I made my connections" then he would have been winning and there would be that chance but he jumped out there like :what: "that's not me"

Why would he admit to it?

That probably carries some serious actual federal charges if it was ever proven...think about this from all sides.

he may not have been a kingpin...but why are the boobie boys repping for him?

I mean he might have been the Miamii Jeezy/Blue Da Vinci. Why is that so farfetched?

No, he was just a guy who needed a job and he believed at the time that was a reasonable option...But then hip hop changed, and anybody could rap with a decent shot at making it big, so he said "why not me?"

Dude joined Slip N Slide and made songs with Trina, when that didn't work, he took up a different identity and marketing strategy...If he was really a mole working as a CO for a mafia, all he had to say was "yes, I was a CO, but it is not something I can talk about"....

He flat out denied it until he figured out a storyline that could not be verified and proved or disproved...

He is just a dude rapping to make money...Someone who goes undercover for a mafia isn't going to turn around and become a famous rapper...I am sure somebody can pull out his work record...

Him being a good or crooked CO is irrelevant. People clown because of the fact that he tried to lie about it until it couldn't be denied.

you act like admitting it doesn't carry non-rap penalties...as if the hip-hop cops don't exist.

I'm not saying definitively that he's a total fraud, but to ignore the incentive to obfuscate that chapter in his life is also myopic
