I know it takes tons of money to build your own tech company and I know it isnt easy.... :comeon: I'm working on building my own media empire... but that's down the line. :youngsabo:

Fact of the matter is we need a network of likeminded individuals to set the infrastructure.

I'm not a self defeatest I am a thinker but I dont have the capital but i'm working on it...

The guy who made WSHH is an inspirational story, a black guy who made the shyt and never sold out...

It can be done... :ehh:
Brother please don't bring up Q fatass from wshh Who makes countless dollars off of shaming his own people for views who charges Brother's to broadcast they tunes when the site is called WORLD STAR HIP HOP

I googled for racist lawsuits and basically found nothing for the 3 largest software companies. That's over 300k people at any given moment. I found like 3 cases and 1 of the was Indian claiming that they don't make as much as cacs (although both Microsoft and google have Indian CEOs).

This dude Bill Gates is the biggest tech guy in the world quit tech to help Africa. Zuckerberg sold stocks early and gave that money to Newarks schools. I'd say that it's the least racist industry, one or a few racists working at a company does not make a company of 100k racist :what:.

People are discouraging black people to enter these fantastic companies with that BS. Not only that, they are probably discouraging managers to hire black people cause they're afraid of cats reaching for racism for not being promoted before an arbitrary cac. Cats are really disrespecting real victims of racism out here, it's as bad as broads faking rape cases.
If you scream that everything is racist, no one will give a fukk about it.

yes

Go to any northern California tech areas and I guarantee u, u probably see 1 out 5,000 blacks and Hispanics working for these well known tech companies even though blacks and Hispanics dominate the bay area in terms of population

I see a little bit here in L.A.
And that's related to racism how?

Y'all gotta also understand its more than coding. You dont need to know how to code, the people making the big bucks dont code but have the vision. Like someone mentioned having the idea is what will get you paid because things like programming are easy to outsource but you cant outsource the intellectual property.

The tech industry is anti female and anti "minotities"

shyt... Look at he PayPal mafia web that pretty much spawned EVERYTHING:

HOWEVER, do not think you cannot get in and make it in the tech because you are black, we can get in there.

My older sister is an awkward nerdy coder and she is doing okay.

When I walk by these little boutique tech start ups around the bay, I am seeing more and more nerdy black girls representing :ehh:
I still don't know how shyt like that makes it anti.

White cats were computer geeks first cause they had the educated parents and the money to buy computers. Why women are underrepresented has to do with several factors. Including tests that shows what boys and girls favor and excel at as kids. All these tech companies have women's and minorities programs, not cause they have to but because they want to. But there's probably more black people studying something for entertainment than stem.

It's all about what you study, no one is discouraging white girls from majoring in computer science, IT, mathematics etc. Just like no one is stopping Indian dudes from studying fashion and merchandising.

The reason black people have a difficult time in tech is the same reason we have problems in finance, law, education, and every other industry.

Because we don't own or control any of the tech companies, we have to put up with the discrimination that comes with asking your enemy to employ you. Until black men get off their asses and start building businesses that can employ the black men and women in the tech industry, this will never change.

Close thread here.

There are tons of threads like this on this board and the meat of it is always the same shyt: please let us be part of some shyt y'all only intended your crew to be part of.

When you ask to be included then you're subject to be included on their terms; terms that they elect to modify at the drop of the hat.

At the end of it, creating (or at least trying) our own shyt is the only way. Now, that process of creation requires not only a changing in mindset (value system) but also a decent financial investment.

But I'm convinced a lot of cats just want to belong so bad that they will take whatever these big tech companies throw as scraps. A few token hires here and there ain't shyt When you have mark fukkin zuckerberg twisting his own employees arms and telling them to chill with the racism.

I think it boils down to black people arent interested in the tech field. Our culture is more geared towards sports and entertainment.

Black men have been involved in a whole load of fields that are typically thought to have been of purely white influence, quiet as its kept :sas2:

Everybody knows about Thomas Edison and his invention of the light bulb, but what they don't know is that his shyt was inefficient and kept cutting of like every 15 minutes.

It took them to bring in a black man named Lewis Latimer to solve this issue by introducing a carbon filament to it:
250px-Lewis_latimer.jpg

Because of him, we can have our lightbulb on for hours or even days on end without it cutting off.

They don't teach this in black history month tho :mjpls:

Don't ever let anyone make u feel like blacks arent good enough for the tech industry.

They will find a heinous way to keep you out or force you to leave.
Especially when you eclipse them and what they do at the company

Basically

Y'all really gotta stop this bullshyt narrative of "black culture is the problem."

Just because you don't know any black people in technology doesn't mean they don't exist. I meet black engineers, developers, DBA's, PM's, CISO's, etc all the time.
