Is The Sopranos worth it?

This is my first re-watch. Saw it about a decade ago and didn't get into the hype. Thought it was good, but not like everyone was saying.

Yeah same I watched it more then a decade ago and though it was cool. My rewatch at a older age helped me realized the greatness the show is . I used to find Carmela, Olivia, Meadow characters pointless. But realized their greatness in their pieces of the puzzle as a adult .

The only pointless character is Anthony Jr.

Dude does nothing for the show. At least in the first 2 seasons.

Haha easily the most useless character. I think his character is supposed to show being a neglected kid of a mob boss with no father figure around. AJ didn’t even know he was in the MOB until meadow told him. He seemed crushed by the idea. He’s a piece of shyt but a product of a mob member absent father and a gold digging clueless mother. He’s the only person on the show with a decent set of ethics and morals. Meadow was eventually 100% down with the mob life which is why she got with a mob associate. She’s Carmella Junior.

Great show, liked it so much, bought the blu-ray set back in the day.

If something is both loved by the critics and audience, it's probably good. It has 98/97 rating - The Sopranos

The Wire, one of my favorite series 94/97 average all seasons, had some 100/99 seasons - The Wire

Started season 5. Don’t want this to end… again.

As much as I’d like to read old Soprano threads, Been trying to stay away from them because I don’t wanna be spoiled (I dont remember most of the series). I already found out Chrissy dies and I completely forgot he gets offed.

started watching this last year, just watched the first two seasons.

college is one of the best hours of television I've ever seen and Richie Aprile was a great villain. Love the humor too.

Need to get back into it. I wanted to savor it and not binge it, it's too good for that.
