This is obviously an unpopular opinion based on the responses so far but I didn’t enjoy the show very much. I’ve never cared about the Italian mafia/mob subject matter and the show has a ton of dream sequences that I also never enjoy. I struggled to get through it and I never finished, but I’d say stick with it for a season and see how how you like it.

:hubie:
There is like 3-4 dream sequence episodes out of 85 lmaooo.

This show is nowhere as good as people claim it to be. Unless the 2nd half of season 3 on is the good part, if you havent watched, you arent missing much.

Most characters are useless. And the fact people are hyping this racist mobster is crazy. Not as much killing and beef as I thought there would be.
The peak of the show is mid season 2 - season 4. Season 1 is basically a long pilot. They didn’t know they were going to be greenlight for more seasons yet. It may not be for everybody but there is a reason it’s considered the show that started the Golden age of TV. Even Bryan Craston said no Breaking bad without Sopranos. First major show where the main character is a bad guy.

Just started my 3rd run through. The 2nd one since the show ending.

Show gets better and better every time. I'm still with The Wire being the GOAT HBO Show but Sopranos is neck and neck.

I rewatched it at the beginning of the pandemic shutdown and thoroughly enjoyed it. it was probably my 3rd time seeing it.

I got a homie who is watching it for the first time right now, and he's telling me that shyt is mediocre. I'm like :childplease:

succession is coming hard. i think it will eventually be mentioned with all the other GOAT HBO original shows.

Naw I got to disagree…succession is trash with lame ass humor. All the characters are trash and not even likable trash.. plus the show is boring with nothing really going on. The most overrated show I ever watched by far.

Ralph > any character on succession.

Second season is my favorite, but Season 6B is great television also.

After following these characters for five seasons, we finally got to see most of them face the consequences of their life choices and actions. I liked how it made a point to take the rose-tinted glasses off and unromanticize the mafia life for what it really is. Each episode was a goodbye for someone. It didn’t really hold your hand like the previous seasons.

Facts. Show got better after my second, third and fourth rewatch. You start to understand the characters better and understand their intentions and even get their humor better. I though Olivia (Tony Mom) was a insufferable character . But after a few rewatches understood the greatness of her character. She is a fukking gem :russ:.
