Pop culture is a dominant culture. It is one in the same, right or wrong. :yeshrug:

In terms of the general public:

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man transcend comics/movies. They are pop cultural icons. You don't have to see their movies or read their comics to know who they are. Their influence span decades, generations.

Hulk isn't on their level, but he is 2nd-tier in that he is well-known like that beyond comics/movie buffs.

the difference between though, is that batman superman spider man and the hulk still sold mechandise, video games(not so much superman, but hes kinda been tainted) and tv shows. wonder woman was coasting on name alone from her 70s tv show, which the hulk also had and was also very popular and hadnt had a promotional push until probably the early 00s justice league. the hulk has been in the public eye just as long, but stayed relevant for a much longer peroid. the hulk is indeed on their level.

nah, let's be reality here: no one gave a fukk about Deadshot & Amanda Waller. they weren't the draws.

people went to see that movie for Harley Quinn and curiosity about Leto's Joker. people knew going in Leto's Joker was most likely gonna be a trainwreck so Margot Robbie essentially carried the film.

Your wrong, people dont fucc with Margot robie like that, if so, what movie has she been the primary star in that did big numbers:ohhh:

Will smith was the only known star in aladdin and it went over 1 bill, will has been hit or miss but he's done major boxoffice in the past suicide squad was made bigger by adding will

When you talk about icons, they transcend that sh*t.

Would you call Hulk an icon? Nah. :manny:

In general, Hulk is up there, but a notch below. Not an icon.

Definitely not Batman, Supes' or Spidey's level.

Wonder Woman is an icon especially with WW's aspect with women.

You had/have kids for generations who aspired to be these characters, not the Hulk. :manny:

That is the difference.

Wonder woman is not right behind them. Shes a pop culture icon, but she isn't popular. Hell she isn't as popular as the hulk.

And Spiderman more than has an argument for more popular than batman. Especially considering merch sales.

I thought Viola was solid in the movie.

Will is the man, but he seemed like he was mailing it in. Like he was uninspired.

With Margot, it was more like she was attending a halloween party than acting.

kids wanted to be wonder woman? maybe recently, but definetely not in the 80s and 90s. they would much rather be power rangers orthe spice girls or any other form of media marketed to them. how would they even know about wonder woman? from her long cancelled tv show? she didnt get a resurgence until relatively recently. but theres been generations who if they werent reading comics had no idea who she was. meanwhile the hulk was always there in some way shape or form. hell they made a popular toy out of the hulks hands

You are operating off of 10 years ago. They lost the last generation of kids, no kids care about Superman especially. Batman is up there but the Marvel movies have changed the current landscape.

Not really.

Marvel movies introduced the b-team to the world and made them an all-star team in their own right.

That is about it.

They are still the b-team. :yeshrug:

GOTG still isn't bigger than Star Wars. :yeshrug:

Thor ain't bigger than Hulk.

Ironman ain't bigger than Batman.

Cap ain't bigger than Supes.

Carol ain't bigger than Diana.

Spidey still spidey.

1 decade vs several decades. :yeshrug:
