Something like that happened to me about 10 years ago during an interview to be a freakin pest control guy. Dude was talking about everything from cars to the Bible. The longer he talked the more he came unglued at the idea of having me in there

White people will use any sort of method to not do anything for a black person. They can call you in for an interview, having been impressed with your resume, then see you're black after walking in, and do a complete 180. They'll ask you questions, but in their minds, you don't even have a chance. This is what they do, because they are cowardly and evil. It doesn't mean that the fitness industry in particular is hostile, it means that anywhere you have a white person running shyt, it's next to impossible for a black man to get a fair chance.

Most of the gyms I’ve been to had lots of black people working there in management or as fitness trainers.

i never noticed any issue. If you look like you work out, got the credentials, etc., then you shouldn’t have a problem getting a job in the “Fitness” industry (and being a card swiper at the front desk isn’t being in the fitness industry anyway).

That job is literally for bytches and teens anyway. You should literally be in sales or training and need experience doing it at a gym... but if you live in a “racist” city you shouldn’t be surprised

Yeah I was just hoping to get my foot in the door so I can do some sales and then some personal training. I've been looking to get a nasm or NCSA certification.

If you had the cert first they probably would’ve gave you a sales job if there was an opening.

thing is, its a lot of networking going on... you technically don’t even need to work at that gym to be a personal trainer... just look good, look like you know what you’re doing, show you training other people and some people might come up to you and ask if you could train them.

easier to do it if you train for the gym though. But you need the credentials and sometimes you even need the look. Like don’t look like a guy that just comes in to lift, look like you take it serious down to that amount of carbs you intake.

But working at the front desk... from my experience that’s mostly bytch work
