Love the fact we got 2 qbs who are capable of leading us to a Natty. Hate the fact 1 hasn’t been named starter this close to game day. 10 days out.
Gleitman followed up that post by saying he’s doubling down on McCord after just speaking with someone. But yeah we have 2 QBs, and unless McCord puts up a Haskins level season, he’ll be back for another year. Which means Brown will be transferring. And McCord transfers no matter what if Brown gets the gig because he has to be here two more.Love the fact we got 2 qbs who are capable of leading us to a Natty. Idk. Usually the guy is the guy by now. Stroud was announced around this time as well, but it seemed like he been had the job for real.Love the fact we got 2 qbs who are capable of leading us to a Natty. Hate the fact 1 hasn’t been named starter this close to game day. 10 days out.
Negged for mentioning Steven Bellasari and Austin Mocherman.Idk. Usually the guy is the guy by now. Stroud was announced around this time as well, but it seemed like he been had the job for real.
Doesnt feel like a Haskins vs Burrow.
Last time it was this late was Bellasari vs Austin Moherman
I was really buying the Bellasari was the next Michael Bishop hype
@MustafaSTL was trying to blame my dawg Reggie Germany for Bellasari not being it
Cost him and Rambo millions
Not that one day matters but heard in the last practice McCord outplayed Brown. Again not that one practice decides this thing but seems Kyle has a little momentum in the last full week. I am going to try and see what I hear regarding IU but my gut says McCord starts but they do get Brown some run before yanking the first team
It's week 1 and you still on our dikk . College football season is back .I pray y’all start Kyle Navarre
Hearing there will be a starter named today for the IU game (McCord). That happened because he has been better the last week to two. Also hearing the staff just REALLY wants to make sure they get this right and so while one guy will start vs IU both will continue to play until they are crystal clear on a starter (aka one separates so much that there is zero doubt). My guess is by week 3 we know who that guy is.
Also this decision was NOT made just to make Kyle or his dad feel good LOL. The coaches need to and want to win games which means playing the best guy. Brown hasn’t been as good in practice of late, as I have been reporting, thus 6 gets first crack at winning the job
While I prefer to just have the established starter set now, this is nothing like 2015 where Urb didn’t or wouldn’t name the starter until right after the coin toss, and then yo-yo’d them around based on who was hot (pause). Sounds like McCord is separating, but maybe not enough until they see them play against live competition. I don’t want this lingering into week three, but for one or two games maybe we just get to see who’s better with little to no fear of competition from the opponent.I'm starting to feel uncomfortable about this QB situation.
Instability is never a good sign and we going Into week 1
QB competition sometimes runs into the early part of the season. We will not know who can truly lead the team until they face real competition and they can’t get that until game day. Our first three games are easily winnable as long everyone does their job. Let’s hope that their is a clear cut winner before the ND game.I'm starting to feel uncomfortable about this QB situation.
