Now before i start this thread I just want to say I 100% support Black Women and the advancement of Black Women...so this is not meant to be a misogyny laden discussion so I would like all participants to be respectful.

But Black Men...have you noticed Black Women are getting all these looks...these promotions...these jobs...these positions..? Again...congrats to Black Women.

Meanwhile Black Men are slowly but surely being told..."we don't need your services anymore".

Look at how many TV shows and movies just feature Black female leads that would of been reserved for Black men and they're not even having any Black Male representation on these shows.

There's ALWAYS white men and white women on these shows (qe know why)...but now it seems like if they want Black representation theyll choose a Black Woman or a gay Black Man over Straight Black Men?


What happened?

Whats up with all of these netflix shows where there's a bunch of white people in heteronormative relations and yet the only Black person and non-white person in the cast just happens to be gay?

Or these shows on Netflix peacock peacock or hulu where there are white men in relationships with black women and the black men on these shows are even non existing or they are just looking weak?

Even amongst (younger) groups of Black women on social media... Like they're talking about serving black women and uplifting black women only with no talk of black men.

You are about 10 years late breh. Hollyweird and Corporate Media has decided to neutralize Black manhood and only promote demonic images and stereotypes in entertainment.The recent Taco Bell Commercial is just one of many examples.

Black women are out here rallying together, bonding, forming social groups and most importantly getting their image, likeness and perspective RESPECTED because they demand it. That’s why you are seeing a change. Black men have the worst reputation and apparently do nothing to combat that as a group. That’s on y’all to figure out.

Historically, black men have never been respected as a group but at least their women respected them and catered to them. Not anymore. Black women are tired of being mules and publicly humiliated by those very same men and have chosen to move on together to greener pastures. Blame yourselves for that.

Stop crying about where you are at in life and think about why no one respects you and how you can change that. Firstly, stop making excuses and blaming everyone for your plight. No one respects pitiful men. Advocate for strong SMART black male leaders who do more than sit behind and desk and talk all day on a podcast. Surely you can find decent black men whose lifestyle is admirable to be the face of a movement? And no not rappers and athletes, actually academically trained black men who aren’t sellouts and live for the people.

The truth is black women have always been the glue to the black community. What you’re witnessing is the glue moving on and leaving y’all to pick up the pieces. That’s why y’all feel the way you do: hopeless, left behind, confused, betrayed, emasculated etc. Instead of moving WITH black women, many of you focus on combating them—but where does that get you? Exactly where you are today: by yourself with no one at all caring about you or your representation as a people.

Meanwhile these ads dont even feature Black Men anymore.

But theyll always feature a White Man as Male representation. Or a non-black Man.

That's every group tho. This is common sense. Black men dont get along or want to work together unless they're from the same walk of life. That needs to change. I'm not even against interracial relationships. I just know one of the shared qualities in most WM/BW relationships is a shared disdain for Black Men so as much as I want Black Women to be happy...I can't celebrate that wholeheartedly I'll just admit it.

You're right. What needs to happen is this: The top black men in positions of power need to SILENTLY put other black men on. This even includes programs for black boys. nikkas gotta stop annoucing to the world that they're doing something for black men only.
