Luke was using the force something that was in the midiclorians in his blood. He inherited this from his dad. This is cannon. Through the force one can communicate with the dead, he channeled, Ben in that moment which is another thing you can do being a force wielder. (Thank you comics). And used that to blow up the death star. Oh they also had the plans for the death star. There was this movie Rouge one, where they got those.
Lol just make it simple man was it Ben or Luke?

A Villa Straylight.
I agree in that sense but you can't call ray a Mary sue when luke was pulling off the same bullshyt and had the same kind of loses.
Luke didn't beat a sith Lord straight up. or Jedi mind trick someone, he blew up a giant death weapon that they had plans for. Plans people die to obtain. He knew where to shoot, he had shot smaller things before. what he didn't do was best a trained sword fighter after having just learned to use a sword. it took him 3 movies to be anywhere near as good as Rey and cost him a hand and two mentors.

You doing the same she got her ads handed to her by the emperor. But she beat Kylo so it does not make sense. So y'all star wars fans want the exact retelling of ep 6-9. I hope the Progs take down the star killer base 2.0
No, what we want is character development. I ain't even a huge SW fan, but I can admit that she's way OP in this story arc.

And why is that? .... Just cuz they wrote her that way. She's a Mary Sue.

Is that your only gripe. Fine the context set up by universe maybe some one was channeling ray to fight better just like Ben was doing to luke.

So Luke was channeling Ben who was teaching him the force the day before.
Force ghosts do and have existed. Those Ghosts need a connection to the person who channels them. He knew Luke for a long time though Luke didn't know it. Who did Rey know?

A Mary Sue is an idealized and seemingly perfect fictional character. Often, this character is recognized as an author insert or wish fulfillment.[1] They can usually perform better at tasks than should be possible given the amount of training or experience. Sometimes, the name is reserved only for women, but more often the name is used for both genders. A male can also be referred to as a Marty Sue or Gary Stu, but Mary Sue is used more commonly.

Hmm because she is good in force y'all think she is a Mary sue but what about her flaws? Do you think she has none because as a character she does.

Is Vader then a Marty?
Oh jeez

Now they need a connection? I thought they were all connected through the force? I am not being condescending i thought that is how it goes.
