Learn how to read, i wasnt question their African ancestry,i was pointing out their "im black/african when its convenient" mentality... Latin music is based off african riddims , gtfoh

If you are african latino that acknowledges himself as that koo, but dont act like latinos as a whole acknowledget that themselves, lol

Muffucaz walk into club thurs-sun dancing to african riddims while hating themselves and black people
No you misunderstood, I never said you were questioning their ancestry who cares? You insinuate that a music like Salsa comes from Africa (it doesn't) and somebody owes something to Africa. No Salsa was created in Cuba by people who had ancestors in Afric, big difference. Jazz, soul, RnB, regga, Salsa, samba don't come from Africa it comes from people who created a new culture in a new homeland.

Whether someone recognizes such and such has no bearing on reality. It's their music whether they think it's derived from this part of their ancestry even though it's from another.

Lastly, when th f did you hear a Cuban say anything about their music not being derived from Africa. I've never heard it once, in Cuba, in The US, nowhere. You are just insecure. If you included Salsa, rumba and cha cha cha ( not cha cha) out of laziness correct yourself. If you are talking abou DR say that but don't lump Cuba in with this cause we don't play that.

PR Reggaeton Been around since 1992-1993 with" the noise" and "DJ playero" mixtapes, Daddy Yankee and em as teenagers been put in the work.

I Used to hate the shyt when I first heard it cause i was heavy into super cat , shabba ranks ,cutty ranks the bam bam its murder tapes.
Until Them PR,DR chicks started shaking they asses all over me at parties :noah::noah::noah:
shytttttttt if you want to be more technical about it them PR dudes swagger jacked the whole style from panama, look up El general first spanish reggae artist he was mainstream and on every latin country getting heavy radio play in 1990-91,

Pr dudes Ran with it, And now they moved onto trap music yes pr dudes are doing spanish trap music and its getting heavy radio play in the us latin stations and in every latin country and getting millions of views on youtube.

so in conclusion if you hate reggaeton You never danced a whole set with a latin chick shaking her ass on you for 25 mins:banderas::ohlawd: :ahh::noah:

Breh there is a distinct between what Playero and El General were doing wayyyyyy back in the 90s. Here in NY we used to fukk with Playero mix CDs real heavy. This is when you called it "Spanish Reggae" because cats were on different riddims and doing their own thing with it. On the other hand El General, I felt like, was paying homage even tho he kinda had a Super Cat ting going on but it came off as reggae in Spanish. And these two tracks are both classics

And his "Tu Pum Pum" track is considered a pioneering Spanish Reggae track even tho it's basically his take on something that was already out there.

El General is from Panama, repped his black/African culture and introduced something into the Spanish speaking Caribbean world that THEN was appropriated by Puerto Ricans (and Dominicans later on) and morphed into Reggaeton. General (and other Spanish reggae artists back then) weren't on this one riddim shyt. They actually had songs and you could tell one from another.

Oddly enough, General is a Jehovas Witness now and doesn't even rock with the music stuff anymore.

As if

Them cats have no culture, food, identity and DNA without Africa but will be ready to send a nuke into the sky if you tell them that shyt. Rinsing out the same Dem Bow riddim 8 trillion times like people are gonna fukk with it. I rather listen to GoGo music because that shyt actually is fire but never evolved. Even trap music (most of which sounds the same) has evolved in its own way and low and behold, these cats are out here making Espanol version of current trap songs. Like who the fukk in their right mind would wanna hear some fukkhead mumbling in Spanish over Mask Off when I can just put on the Future version. But it's like these cats dont feel like merengue and bachata are "youth" enough to get lit to so why not steal Black American and Black Caribbean shyt like the whole planet wont notice

Reggeaton is alright... I like listening to some Ozuna and Jory Boy ... But yea they did bited off heavily from the Jamaicans just like how they did with Cuba ( salsa aka guaguanco rumba etc) and from AA (trap)
:sas2:

Oh and I want to let ya know something real quick to those that are saying that merengue bachata salsa and etc are fraud genres because they all have african riddim/influence.. Reggae, ska, dancehall soca, rap, jazz, rock and etc with African influence/riddim are all fraud genre too because they all have African riddim/influence too. Some of ya forget that the our ancestors from Africa were taken to all parts of the Americas..

Not talking on the exact point cause I don't give a shyt either way, but this can't be your argument. One professional in an artform is not the voice of the entire art form.

If Shaq says Steph Curry is the Goat I'm not gonna walk around like one man's word is irrefutable evidence. Don't do it to yourself

Ya because steph curry was born in 1988, the same year basketball and the nba was invented...he birthed jordan, chamberlain, iverson etc

Lame, this cant be your anolgy cuz it makes no fukkin sense...

Carlos santana is musician acknowledging that latin music is based on african riddims...it becomes fraudulent when it is not acknowledged within the culture and outside of it..dont do it yourself
