No you misunderstood, I never said you were questioning their ancestry who cares? You insinuate that a music like Salsa comes from Africa (it doesn't) and somebody owes something to Africa. No Salsa was created in Cuba by people who had ancestors in Afric, big difference. Jazz, soul, RnB, regga, Salsa, samba don't come from Africa it comes from people who created a new culture in a new homeland.Learn how to read, i wasnt question their African ancestry,i was pointing out their "im black/african when its convenient" mentality... Latin music is based off african riddims , gtfoh
If you are african latino that acknowledges himself as that koo, but dont act like latinos as a whole acknowledget that themselves, lol
Muffucaz walk into club thurs-sun dancing to african riddims while hating themselves and black people
Whether someone recognizes such and such has no bearing on reality. It's their music whether they think it's derived from this part of their ancestry even though it's from another.
Lastly, when th f did you hear a Cuban say anything about their music not being derived from Africa. I've never heard it once, in Cuba, in The US, nowhere. You are just insecure. If you included Salsa, rumba and cha cha cha ( not cha cha) out of laziness correct yourself. If you are talking abou DR say that but don't lump Cuba in with this cause we don't play that.
