Love reggaeton I be in the Latino clubs every once in a while too.
Grime by far is the worst genre shyt is terrible .
Fam at least Grime is its own ting. The beats/flows in Grime are distinctively theirs (along with most U.K. music from the 90s/early 2000s). Reggaeton is a rip of ONE damn riddim and doesn't even come close to the quality of dancehall or 90s reggae/dancehall. Just because it gets young bytches moving at the club doesn't mean it's quality shyt. I hear Spanish language trap music now and it's just as wack. No originality and no hommage being paid when they are literally just taking existing and current shyt.

Came in here to say Grime as well.
I think reggaeton gets shytted on heavily because they tried to push it main stream.
But it's between Reggaeton, Grime and that Brazil genre with the same beat.

Taking yourselves way too seriously. Reggaton isn't a separate genre it's rap reggae and techno in Spanish. Hell they used to call it Spanish reggae. It's just that it's in a different language so when it became popular it had a totally separate audience.
Not to mention that 1 solitary beat they always use is a old ass riddim from a Shabba song, trailer load of gyals
The shyt is dancehall spit in Spanish instead of patois.
Last time I checked performing a song in a different language doesn't change the genre
